Pure Gold!

Black Heart

Let me say unequivocally that I LOVE THIS BOOK. So very worth the credit and time.

This book is combustible and I burned through it, unable to put it down. Not just once, but three times now, I have listened to it. Couldn't even stop to write a review, so sorry that this is a little behind the release date, but again couldn't stop.

Ian and Natasha have unraveled their many personas to reveal their true selves to each other and find love, and we get to go along for the ride.

P.S. The narrators are great!

2 words...Ian Black

I have waited for what feels like forever for Ian Blacks story. This story is filled with pain, secrets, mystery, suspense, heartbreak, laughs and love. Lynn Raye Harris knocked it out the park with Ian & Tashas story. But I'll admit little Daria stole the show and the hearts of several strong alpha men.

Love, love, love

The book was everything that I knew it would be. The story, plot, twist was spot on. I would recommend to anyone and everyone. Absolutely loved 😍

Much anticipated and sooo good!!!

Let me start by saying how much I have enjoyed all the alpha characters Ms Harris has written in her stories. But for me, Ian's story has been the most anticipated. And it did not disappoint! There has been much mystery around the enigmatic Mr. Ian Black as well as his match, Calypso/Natasha. There is excitement, surprise, danger and action that is unique and intriguing. You don't have to read the other stories in the series to thoroughly enjoy this one. But honestly they are all so good why would you not want to?! The narrators did a very good job of capturing the personalities of the characters. I highly recommend this book!!

Melted Heart!

Melted Black Heart is more like it. Ian Black has such a huge mysterious persona that I had no idea how his book was going to go. He needed big. He needed bad. A$$. He needed a heroine to match him toe to toe. There was never any doubt it had to be Calypso to bring him down. The big question was how. How to keep both characters totally true to their developed personalities while still bringing out just enough vulnerability to bring them together. Boy did the author deliver! She absolutely nailed this one. I nearly listened to the entire thing in one day. If I’d started sooner I could have. As it was I ended up falling asleep and having to backtrack 5 chapters to catch what I missed. Easy 5 stars across the board for this one. First time in a very long time I wanted 6 of 5 stars for a book. Narrators were superb. They both did an excellent job making each character unique and recognizable. Accents were so good for each. So many read the same British accent for every non-American, but none of that here. Russians sound Russian. Southern sounds southern based on what state they come from. I was so impressed by the ease of the varying accents! The book was brought to life so well for me. Thank you so much! I’ll not hesitate on any audiobook I want if either of these are the narrator. I’ll definitely be listening to this one again and again!

Woohoo! Winning over the assassin!

Let me start by saying that you get everything in this book! Romance, assassins, sex trafficking and an adorable 6yo!! Ian Black, leader of BDI, has been drawn to female assassin, Natasha…aka Calypso, ever since their first meeting a while back. When Natasha searches him out at a masquerade ball they inevitably have a one night stand. That should have gotten the other out of their systems…except a couple of months later when life gets super complicated. No spoilers here! This story is well written and full of great characters! Narration team is the perfect fit for the characters!

Fantastic

OMG I couldn't take my earbud out of my ears, I love this book and I so want the previous ones.
Natasha and Ian's story is so good, I wanted more and more. At some point during my listen I started screaming at Natasha, then at Ian, I was like .. "How could you guy relax, when you know the syndicate was coming for you!!!!" Then Nanny I knew it from the get go, why wasn't Tasha suspicious , she was the legendary(?) Kalypso..

All in all, this book was fantastic....

Everything I’ve been waiting for

So like the titles says this book was everything I was wanting Ian Blacks story to be. I have been chomping at the bit for Ian’s story since he first showed up in the original HOT series. I’m actually struggling with what to say. There is something about watching a character who has been such a mystery for so long finally unravel his layers before your eyes. Satisfying, sweet (not a word I thought I was going to use for Ian Black, but …) exciting and dangerous. Go read it. Fall in love with Ian and show your inner badass with Natasha.

Danger, Intrigue and Sizzling Romance!!

Natasha is also the assassin Calypso. Ian Black is ex-CIA, now working in “Security”. These two have been circling each other, but now the people who control Natasha have set her on Ian. The penalties of failure are death of not only herself but someone dear to her.

Ian knows who and what Natasha is, he is also enthralled by her. He believes he can free her from The Syndicate who has her on a short leash, but he doesn’t know the hold they have on her.

Masters of disguises, these two who have been intimate do not even know each other's eye color. Will only one remain standing, or can they trust each other and break this stranglehold keeping them on opposite sides.

I listened to the audio book, and the narrators were sublime. They added to the experience, and were easy to listen to, and helped to create the atmosphere of tension and attraction. A fabulous story, well conceived and well presented in all aspects.

Worth the wait!

I feel like I have been waiting for Ian and Natasha's story FOREVER!!!! I knew this was going to be a good one. With all of the history between them, both good and bad, and the bad guys that employed Natasha, I couldn't wait to see how she makes her break! This story was fast paced and well written. I loved how Natasha was redeemed in this story. My heart broke for her over and over again. I was so glad to see her get a happily ever after! This is a great story in a great series!

The narrators did a great job bringing this one to life! Loved it!
