Life’s Journey

This book revealed a story of a multi-racial young lady that identified herself as being “black,” because of her skin color. The author wrote about every day struggles of being a young black female living in a society that oftentimes discredits one for being as such. This story can truly be appreciated amongst the career, mommy, wife seeking black woman.

Spoke to my soul!!!

This book was so good and resonated with me in such a way that I became emotional twice while listening! While it’s fictional, it speaks volumes about the personal and professional pressures we experience as Black women. I am eager to read the sequel.

A snippet of the battles we encounter

I took every opportunity I had to finish this book. the narrator was not monotonous. I felt the different characters through her voice. it's an interesting read/listen. gives the reader alot to consider.

Good for the soul

This book was good. I’ve laughed, cried, got angry. And started over. This book is a definite escape and will captivate you. It’s been a long time since I’ve had something this good for the soul.

Wish narration was a bit more pronounced in some parts of reading…with more inflection and emphasis on parts, but overall a great read.

An Amazing Book!!

Such a phenomenal read & narration. This book had so many gems of being black and also a woman in this day and age. I resonated so much with the characters and the many story lines. I cannot wait to start the second book

A book of real life for all women

This book went through all the stages of being a grown woman in society. I loved every bit of it and cried on some parts because life gets so hard sometimes and the author touched on all of it.
