Great audible!

Loved who the author got to narrate this book. I could listen to his voice all day. I had already read the book and really enjoyed listening to the story. I will be buying more audibles from this author.

how accurate they could be

wish the characters got together sooner but had great detail. good range of characters also

this story was just ok. I expected a lot more action. the romance was weak. the Narrator was good but could have been better with 2.

Story had potential

This was a FB recommendation, the premise i liked to I got it.

Starting with the good stuff: the narrator was great for a male. not so much as a female but enjoyed the narration none the less.

Now the not so good. grown adult men in the military or otherwise do not call their potential woman girlfriend. its sounded like a 15 yr old asking a girl to go steady. And starting the way you did, left no room for world building which, in order to invest in the characters, you needed.

I wanted a story I could believe in. One with teeth. Instead we got stereotypical Hispanic drug cartel, rich white dude with a daddy issues coming to the rescue and an fmc who said all the strong things but did none of them.

I really wanted to like it.
