Excellent Book!!

This book was well written I was on edge with every chapter and the ending was a complete shock. This book was well worth the credit I would highly recommend it and I really enjoyed this authors writing. Anyone in a relationship that's dealing with this sort of subject matter should read this and know that they're not alone.

Did not see that coming

Great story. Couldn't stop listening. Plot twist at the end … WOW I've usually got things pretty much figured out by the last few chapters. Not this time.

Wait...what?!

Magnificent twist. The narration now makes perfect sense! Highly recommend this audio book. This should be a movie!

Plot twist no one saw coming

The book would have been much better with 2 narrators. It starts to drag on a bit then gets really exciting. This book as a twist that is completely unpredictable. I recommend listening.

Spousal abuse with an unbelievable twist

The prologue confused me a bit....Then I thought "oh my word, how much can this woman take and why is she sticking with that creep of a husband?" Then there was the endless abuse chapter after chapter. I was wondering if I could plough through the rest of the book. THEN....I had to listen to the last 2 chapters/the denouement twice to make sure I heard correctly. My oh my....I was so glad I had ploughed through. The end was worth it and made the prologue make sense!
YES, get it. It is quite a different take on psychological suspense!

Interesting

Took a lot of chapters to get to the point not what I expected at the end. Just need to get into the story quicker.

A story of narcissism, control, and bullying. Hard to listen to, at times, because how can you let yourself be treated that way, but overall it was part of the story and a very good book!

Captivating insightful view of marriage 👏

The writing is simply prolific. Insightful. Very observatory.
It blew me to see how a self centered sadistic and narcissistic person sees the world and why they feel their opinions are correct.
I had to stop debate with myself what's wrong and what's right at times. And the twist that was unexpected.
I find it disappointing that what motivated me to read this book, that element was not much there. It's mentioned 'A psychological thriller'. I felt it's a good insightful thriller. I can't consider a twist as psychological aspect. That part has to come from story not from writing style.

Apart from that it's a great book, that shows the inside and outside view of marriage like never before.

So great to finally get the flip side! It is my belief that men are abused as much as women but are to embarrassed to report it, or, as the story tells, people don't believe them! And emotional abuse by covert narcissists against men is RAMPANT!
