the 1st in th is series is credited to horowitz, the second is by naughton based on a book by horowitz, the 3rd by another author, sherlock holmes stories are favorites of mine. mr horowitz is a favorite author. his writing style and quality keep me engaged and appear to continue here.
this book introduces a totally new way of looking at the main characters in the original stories by conan doyle. the author presents old storiesa in a new way that captures the imagination. it broadens a person's thinking about sherlock and dr watson. .the writing is vivid. the narration is superb. I regret not capturing the name for this review. each character is distinct. a thoroughly enjoyable read.

intreging, not predictable, gritty realistic, emotionally asturr... a well spun tale.
Read with sensitivity and warmth. A listen that's hard to turn off!

Enjoyable start to finish

This is a thoroughly enjoyable take on the Holmes canon. It’s like finding Easter Eggs with every new location, person, circumstance. Anticipating a third installment, and hoping for many more.

Intriguing spin on the characters

Took a while to rev up, but glad I stuck with it! Author does a good job of altering the characters and narrative in a believable and enjoyable way.

1st Book, Blah. This Book, Yah!

The Irregulars has everything that’s missing in The Red Circle, especially Holmes’s renowned approach to deductive reasoning, The story and characters are also much more interesting, complex, and compelling.
Horowitz’s writing is excellent, and the narrator’s performance is outstanding. Highly recommended. Bravo!

Loved everything - characters, plot, reader - can’t wait for next installment! Anthony Horowitz and his chosen author are genius.

Well done! I love the fresh perspective of a future with Sherlock and the cast of characters from the original. I'm impatient for more.

A welcome follow-up

I enjoyed this almost as much as the first one in this series. Some of the backstory details of supporting characters felt a bit off track but overall very good listening.

Great story and Narrator!!

Just finished listening to the book.. it was as good as The Red Circle. I can't wait for the next installment.

Even though Anthony Horowitz wasn't involved in the writing of this, it was still very clever and very well done. Plus, the narrator is outstanding.
