Very realistic responses

Loved the characters and their growth. The slow near collapse of society as power and communication die. The surprising characters and skills that did and didn’t survive or thrive.

Great book

Loved every minute of it and the reader was awesome. Would like to hear more books from this writer

Good story

I did like the storyline quite a bit. For a change world didn’t go to complete shits once shit hit the fan, and most people stayed just people.
Characters were sufficiently interesting and relatable. Ending a bit less than epic, but that’s ok. Narration great. Overalls a solid listen.

Beautiful storytelling

I listened to this screenwriter on a podcast and he talked about his venture into novel writing. The visual world and expert pacing kept me engaged throughout and the richness of the characters believability proved very entertaining. A great read (or listen).

Good story but language choice not best

This was a good story the characters were compelling however the author chose to use profanity throughout which was not necessary to make the story interesting I would not recommend this book to most of my friends because of that even though it is a compelling story.

Amazing book, slow narrating

The book itself was amazing, lots of twists and devolvement. Development in characters and in a society after being striped from all electronic devices.
I suggest listening at x1.3.

Not for the younger readers

Enjoy the story, could use a little less Foul Language for myself. Liked the story though.

Thought Provoking

Very enjoyable listen and fascinating how the balance of our Solar System, eco system & culture can be thrown out of balance by magnetic waves produced by our Son.

Concept Deserves Better Writing

Feels like very early effort. Interesting concept short-changed by writer's apparent skill set. Oh well.

Action packed, fast paced

I picked this up at a grocery store not knowing anything about it. I did read on the cover that it was written by the screen writer for Jurassic Park. That intrigued me of course because I absolutely love the movies and of course the books.
Over all, I am satisfied with this little paperback I found. It was explained in a way that wasn’t too confusing considering it’s about a complex solar event that caused worldwide power outages and societal chaos.
It was also a drama with colorful characters that almost seemed comical at times. The ending was kinda sudden and wrapped a little too quickly but it’s the thriller genre so I won’t knock it.
