Virtual voices have improved significantly over the years. This one wasn't horrible, but it's also not good. I got through half the box set before calling it quits. The story was decent but an "decent" story + less than average narration just wasn't cutting it.

the auto narration spoiled the flow, just not the same, NO EMOTIONS falls flat could have been a great one.

It’s okay

I enjoy the story but don’t care for the ai- narrator. It’s hard to tell the difference between characters in conversations at times. There are times through out that you could forget you’re listening to an ai-narrator but then it would mispronounce a word in a way that a human wouldn’t. There is some slight inflection to help add emphasis in sentences but nothing that adds to the story and help bring you into the book and the characters all have the same voice . Over all it’s really not too bad to the point where I can’t finish it, would have definitely been better with a real person though.

The bad AI reading

I feel like the story has real potential. And I've been gritting my teeth and making it through this because I like the story. I really want to like it.

The AI reading is horrible. It's not changing between the various voices. I'm often losing track of who is speaking. I don't know what the accent is supposed to be but it doesn't sound like Southern white women.

This is not the first time I've found AI to not support the author and the book due to it's inability to change voices to fit the characters. at this point this voice sounds like a reading out loud style versus a performance.

The storyline is pretty good .
virtual voice really needs a lot of work! mispronunciation , accent's , and no difference between male and female characters. hard to follow who's talking .

The virtual voice was horrible! There’s no emotion so everything is monotone! Yuck! I really enjoyed the storylines!!

I tried to enjoy the story.

The IA narration with mispronunciations, strange pauses, and jerky phraseology was extremely distracting. It was hard to follow the storyline when you’re focusing so hard to understand what’s being said.

Get a better actress to do the voiceover Work.

Most actors and actresses who do book audios can do several different voices to where you can tell the difference between characters. This actress did the same voice for every character. That may not seem like the biggest deal but in stories with quick dialogue, it becomes challenging to discern, what character said what. Also, she seemed challenged by giving pauses. One scene ran into another and would be five sentences in before you realized that the scene changed.

Loved the box set!

Every book is this box set was more exciting than the last. The last one would have been better if it had her visiting down south like one more chapter to this book!
