I Buy Everything Peter Grainger Writes!
A little bit different, but still nail-bitingly good! It was nice to have to focus on Serena Butler for this story.

Yet Another Winner
As every other book in this series, this story held my interest and combined both drama mixed with some subtle humor. As a resident of the United States, I thoroughly enjoy learning about the British legal system, and have such a respect and fondness for all the characters in Kings Lake. My favorite parts are always the ones that include the quotes from the amazing DC Smith. Chris Walters has come such a long way and I cannot wait to continue to follow his progress, both in his professional life and the personal life with his fiancé. The narration is just simply perfect. Highly recommend this entire series

Suspensful, action packed story!
I liked the way the author had three story lines going and tied them all together in the end. Overall, he is gifted in character development! Can’t wait for the next book—this is a great series.

I disliked nothing. I liked the character development.
It is realistic with no gratuitous violence and continues the stories of the ensemble characters well.

Superb interplay between characters and story
I began reading Peter Grainger's books with the DC Smith series, and have thoroughly enjoyed this latest addition to the King's Lake sequence. I have read them all and hope there will be more to come. Grainger creates deep thoughtful characters, who share their personal struggles and humanity in the context of a murder squad battling for good vs evil. Gildart Jackson is the perfect narrator for this author and delivers another first-rate performance.

Excellent!
Peter Grainger does it again! Captivating storyline, interesting character development and as desired, plenty of dashes of DC sprinkled in, because it just wouldn't be the same otherwise. It also wouldn't be the same without the superb narration by Gildart Jackson.
