A heartwarming story of resilience and the unexpected bonds forged through courage and determination.

When Cody Taylor’s brother and sister-in-law tragically pass away in Alaska, he suddenly becomes the guardian of his young niece, Annie. Determined to give her a safe, loving home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Annie’s first year in the new school is marred by relentless bullying. He hopes this year will be different. Greta Branstetter arrives in Coeur d'Alene, eager to begin her new role as the town’s schoolteacher. She’s surprised to learn she must live in homes of some of her students and navigate the school board’s strict rules for teachers. Despite the limitations and a group of unruly boys intent on bullying, Greta is committed to making the school year a success for herself and her students.

As Greta and Cody’s path intertwine, their shared mission to help Annie and end the bullying blossoms into something deeper. Annie’s Uncle is a heartfelt journey of hope, healing, and the transformative power of love that often finds you when you least expect it.

My heart was so full when I was listening to this wonderful story. Greta has come to town to be the new school teacher. Young and excited, she can't wait to start. But she finds right out of the gate a couple of older boys that love to bully, and their target is Annie. Annie is living with her Uncle Cody after the death of her parents, and part Inuit, the kids makes it obvious she doesn't fit it. But what these kids don't know is Annie won't stand for it. Finding the story of each child, she is going to work on this, and what she finds out is surprising and in some instances gets her in trouble. Cody has taken a liking to her though. She is a spot of sunshine brought to town and Annie loves her. This is a fabulous listen as the real personalities of each characters comes to light. Some beautiful and others as ugly as ugly can be, the story is true to life and a great listen.

LB Neibaur once again brings a story alive. Her voice is so good and she easily falls into the story choosing the perfect voice for each person. The changes in character of some is a slow evolution creating a wonderful slow maturing and a slow burning to love. I loved her performance.

This one just shows how a school teacher had to go by the rules back in the day. Great lesson in this one. The narrator did a great job with it.

Such a great audiobook! Loved the story and the narrator.
Annie’s uncle was raising her because her dad & mom passed away. I loved how her Uncle Cody was concerned with the way she was treated. Some dads & mom’s just brush off the concerns.
When Greta came to be the new school teacher, Cody wanted to make sure his niece was not going to be mistreated again like she was the last year.
The characters were great and I enjoyed the way Greta took care of things. I loved Cody and Greta’s story and the way they ended up getting together. It was hard for them because of all the rules for female teachers.
Don’t miss this book by one of my favorite authors.

What a delightful short book! It's amazing how much character and details can be packed into a few short hours of enjoyment! My favorite parts were their instant attraction, and her desire to redirect the unruly boys towards a profitable future for their adult life, instead of their miscreant behavior that leads to turmoil now and in their future!

Listening to the audiobook of Annie’s Uncle was delightful. The narrator was great. There were some issues that young Annie had to endure, but with the help of her Uncle Cody, her guardian and the new school teacher, Greta she begins to enjoy school. Greta also has to work around being a female teacher and all the rules, associated with that position. Cody is also there to help and some of the town. This story will give you insight to how certain people think they are privileged and how through the kindness of others are supported. Along the way, a friendship is formed between Greta and Cody and hopefully more.
I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
