When Garrett Oliver’s grandmother requests help on her ranch after her husband dies, Garrett’s father chooses him to leave Cades Cove, Tennessee, and go to Indian Territory. When he gets there, Garrett suspects his grandma wants to match him with her beautiful half-Chickasaw friend, but the more he sees of Wren Hudson, the less he resists his grandmother’s efforts.

He wants to protect the often-shunned woman from the community’s prejudice and discover who’s vandalizing her place. But he’s supposed to return to Cades Cove, and Wren doesn’t plan to ever marry, so the future looks as unpredictable as the Appalachian weather back home.

Grandma‘s Match for Garrett is a quick listen to book that you will enjoy. The narrator is very good. Garrett‘s grandmother needs help on her farm. Of all his siblings, his dad decides to send Garrett from Tennessee to the Indian territory to help her out. Of course, there’s plenty of work to be done, and his grandmother is happy that he has arrived. There’s a hint that she wants to be a matchmaker while he is there. He tells her he will make his own choice. She does get him introduced to her friend, Wren to get him started. He likes Wren, but hates how people treat her, since she is half Indian. This helps him to decide sooner rather than later.
I was given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this sweet story of family and love. Garrett left home and traveled to go stay with his grandmother and help her and her farm. Grandma has a young lady friend that she desires to match Garrett up with. While both Garrett and Wren do not want to be matched, Grandma has a way of always putting them together. Wren is half Indian and many people in town shun her or treat her bad, trying to get her to leave. Garrett noticed the unfairness of that and was set to not only befriend her but to protect her. In the end, love always has a way of working itself out.

I really enjoyed, but the ending could’ve been better. What happens to grandma? what was her decision with the preacher?

Get ready for some good, clean fun by Janice Cole Hopkins! Garrett is sent to go help his grandmother out. The youngest in his family, he went off to Indian territory and was staying for a while to give her the support she needed after the death of her husband. When he meets Wren, he is taken, but after a bad experience he is not interested in a relationship. Wren is half Indian which is a put off by many, but Grandma sees the good in her. And the matchmaking begins. Little by little these two become very close friends, but with Garrett going back to Tennessee, there is no reason to start anything, right? And does he care what people think? This is a fabulous listen, not only for the romance, but for the thread of suspense that runs through it. Meeting different families and the way they raise their kids is just eye opening. And Grandma is just he best!

Charity Spencer is the narrator, and she if fantastic. From young children to Grandma, she has the perfect voice picked out and just the right amount and emotions for each chapter. I loved this listen and highly recommend it!

Gotta love Grandma!

I really loved this book! Garrett Oliver was chosen by his father to leave home and go help his widowed grandmother. He was excited to make the trip and help. But Grandma had things in mind that didn't set well with Garrett. She had the perfect match for Garrett, Wren Hudson, a half Indian/half white girl who was shunned by the towns people. Garrett wanted to pick his own wife and was not interested in Wren in that way. She thinks she cannot ever marry because her heritage would bring issues to those she loved. It was interesting to see how God worked in their hearts and the overcame their worries. The humor worked into the story was just the right touch.

The narration was very good!
