Action commercial voice

They've changed the guy who used to read these books. This audiobook sounds like it's read by the same guy who does voiceover in action movie commercials. It's quite dreadful to listen to....

Another good book by Michael Conelly

The story line was weaker than those of Connelly's previous works. It was kind of slow in the beginning but picked up the pace toward the end.

Good story ... Bad narration

I enjoyed the story but not enjoy the narration. It lacked emotion and all characters sounded similar.

Enjoyed every moment despite the weird reviews

People who've criticized the narrator are obviously used to a certain style of narration. I've been binging on Harry Bosch stories and I can see how different the old narrator's style from this one. Approach this narrator with an open mind and you'll appreciate his style and talent as well.

Fantastic read. Great twist

One of his best. Few twists at the end so that it's a story within a story. This is the pick of his books that I have read so far. Great read.

Great storyline with twists that keeps you guessing from page one! The series is just getting better and better!

Smug, lazy reader

Giles provides a miserable listen, all characters sound the same, zero nuancing, could not finish.

Voice of reader so low it's hard to understand.

i can't recommend this version of Angels Flight because the reader Peter Giles has such a low voice that he is hard to understand.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I couldn't actually listen to the recording because of the reader's voice. The low voice made me really uncomfortable, plus, in my car it became unintelligible.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Peter Giles?

yes, definitely.

This series - good one, bad one, good one ...

Hopefully, the next one will be good. ‘The last Coyote’ was excellent, ‘The concrete Blonde’ not so much. If this series follows a pattern the next book should be good!

Story sounds good but can’t take the narrator

I didn’t finish, just couldn’t warm to the narrator. I skipped to the next one!
