Resumen del Editor

This collection contains all three books in the Android X Series: Android Paradox, Android Deception, and Android Winter. Buy now and save over buying each book individually!

When two equally intelligent androids face off against each other, who wins?

The year is 2300. Humans and androids live in peace after a devastating singularity and years of war. Xandifer Crenshaw is a special agent android for the United Earth Alliance. His job is to track down rogue androids and destroy them to keep the world safe.

When another android agent goes maverick and starts a killing spree, the fallout could shatter the alliance between humans and androids forever. X hunts him down, but what seems like a simple operation turns weird fast when X discovers he's up against something far more sinister that is just as intelligent as him. And whatever it is, it also holds the key to X's forgotten past.

The future belongs to humans and androids...or is that a paradox?

some “woah” moments that surprised me

Android X is the tale of Xandifer “X” Crenshaw and his human partner Shortcut. Hunting down rogue androids is their job and they are good at it. Then suddenly there are more and more rogues and they are acting totally different than the usual rogues. Something is up, X and Shortcut are thrown into a world where dangerous rogue androids are around every corner.

The narration was done by Erik Johnson. He really become X (and the other characters in this book). He has a deep manly voice that give the main character the gusto that was needed. His pacing and speed are great for first time listener to jump right into an audiobook. The production quality was perfect. No issues at all. I will be looking for and listening to more books read by Erik Johnson in the future.

Originally this was released as three separate books, and I read them all (there are reviews on site for all three, also). I couldn’t help but feel like they just ended – like the author cut them off to make it into another book. Well, you don’t have to worry about that here. The omnibus edition of this trilogy was perfect. It was the perfect length and there was no abrupt stopping between books. I’m betting if you hadn’t listened to them separately you wouldn’t even know where one book ended and the other began.

The stories within (about X, the war against the androids, and the main story about the upcoming “android winter” that is said throughout) were well versed. I can tell that La Ronn took his time in making the world a believable one.

This removal of separation was exactly what this story needed. The flow is perfect, the arc of the story is really fun to follow and the characters grow quickly but you really feel like you know them.

If you are looking for a fast-paced sci-fi adventure – this book is for you. It was full of twists and turns, along with some “woah” moments that surprised me. The audiobook just flies and before you know it you’ll be done with the book.

Androids gone wild?

Would you listen to Android X: The Complete Series again? Why?

Yes, I absolutely plan on it. There is so much to the story and I'm sure I missed some and also understand more as the story progresses.

What did you like best about this story?

X is my favorite character.

Have you listened to any of Erik Johnson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not sure if I have, but he did an amazing job.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who enjoys sci-fi. A well written tale with great narration. I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook after receiving an advanced copy I requested.

Who's this book for, anyway?

I have no idea who the target audience is for this book. After hearing the cartoon-ish voices, ridiculous technology, and the author's decision to substitute a swear word with "you know what," I assumed this was a YA book. But, it seems a little violent for that, in terms of a large number of civilian deaths. The writing style is just not very good. Also, did you have to name a robot Smoochies? Come on...
