So sweet.

I loved this book. I read it a while back and found it in my library. Just finished for the second time. Just a simple sweet story and narrator was perfect.

Repetitive

I can't recommend this book.

The plot is pretty basic. Selfish girl is scared straight by sudden death of parents.

The main female character continues to be horrible, which appears to be a simplistic way to justify writing about the male character repeatedly spanking her. It's quite repetitive.

I didn't really connect with the story or characters.

I like the narrator, though.

Good, but could have been better

The story was a good one, if a bit weak. Sage is just a little too immature for me most of the time. There just wasn't enough time for their love to be believable for me either. There were a couple of pretty good spanking scenes and humorous moments.

While I thought that the narrator did a good job of giving each character a voice, he could have done better with showing emotions. It was a little too monotone.

Boring and monotonous

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Sage,the lead female character, sat stomping her feet throughout the book! After a few hours it got totally redundant and frustrating.

Has An Unexpected Wife turned you off from other books in this genre?

I don't believe I could trust these fly by night authors. I'll stick to a book with some time to build characters and those that think repeating the same horrid actions by a character is the only way to make her 'stress' obvious.

Perfect for the part! He really flexed out each character so they all sounded different!

The narrator definitely was the best part of this book.
