Loved the first one but this one? Not so much.

I'm at a complete loss to say what the difference between this book and the first in the series. I loved the first one but I have literally been trying for months to get through this one and I'm still not done. It's just somehow I'm not as captivating.

great story

This book was way better than the 1st book in this series. I love this author from his Adrian dead diary series so when I listened to the 1st book in this series I was a little disappointed but you can tell he found his "groove" in the 2nd book and can't wait to get the 3rd book of this series!

I have really enjoyed this series. it's a refreshing take on the supernatural! Everything this author writes is hold in my book.

great addition

i enjoyed this it shows more into this new world, and it give and interesting twist on how this all came about. i cant wait for more. and also to see if the writer with flesh out this word with new story lines of not “Audible 20 Review Sweepstakes Entry”

A great story

It's what's I've come to expect from Chris a great and imaginative story. I love that we are learning more about the other dragons at this point and that it's building the world.

Fun

This was a very fun title but the story was not one that I felt very attached to. I enjoyed listening to it and the world was interesting but I can't say I would listen to this book over and over like I do with many others I have in my library.

The performance of the narrator was good and I hope to hear him in the future. If you have a credit to burn and want to listen to a fantasy novel based in the current world then give it a try!

i loved this book so much i got the t-shirt of tbe cover from redbubble!! ambryn is such a bad-ass and w/o any spoilers just wait till you meet the Romanian.

WANT the next book in the series!!

This story is very original and enticing as an extended listen. The narrator is awesome!! I think I'd listen to anything he performs...sigh. He gives each character life and you begin to recognize who is speaking just by the cadence and tenor or the narrator's voice. Great read. I've actually listened to both of these 2X....not something I usually do. But, please, please, the next installment! Can't wait to find out what happens to Astrid!
