Was It Illusions or Ghosts?

I enjoyed this book as much as the others in the series. I admired the complexity of this case since Emmie Rose and her group of friends were investigating a theater fraught with ghosts and clever magicians whose illusions seemed very real. There were moments when chills ran up my back. I was so absorbed by the story, that I listened to the whole audiobook in one sitting. I was entertained by Kasi Hollowell's narration, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

Narrated beautifully by Kasi Hollowell, Amber House is a breathtaking and complex poignant story as Emmie and her friends descend upon Las Vegas to Amber House, an old theater set to rise from the ashes by a friend Emmie hasn't seen since her college days. But it's not a friendly reunion, as Nova is desperate for Emmie to discover what exactly is happening within the theaters old bones and turning into a haunting battleground as Nova's father wishes of his daughter's success as an illusionist while the man's distaste for believing the ghosts of dead magicians could be the cause behind harrowing accidents that are pushing Nova into their dark cross-hairs. As Emmie, Finn, Jason and Sarah plunge deeper into Amber House's complicated past and the fiery egos of the men whom graced its stage... the darkest of spirits and even the magician's own troublesome assistants play their malicious games to protect the harrowing, tragic truth that's is a mesmerizing as any illusionist trick.
