Resumen del Editor

Jack Hart is a young attorney trying to escape a troubled past as he climbs the ladder at a big Seattle law firm. The demands and indignities of associate life have been softened by his interest in his mentor, Harmony Piper, granddaughter of the firm’s founder. When Harmony disappears, Jack learns firm secrets and dangers he could not have imagined - and may not survive.

Set in 1990s Seattle, this first installment of the Jack Hart mystery series reflects a world before smartphones and constant connectivity, where a responsible and hardworking attorney says a cheerful good-bye to her colleague at midnight - and simply vanishes before morning.

A Very Good Read

I really enjoyed this book with all the twists and turns.
Rosemary Reeve created a story with a good plot and character development It held my attention to the very end.
I enjoyed getting to know Jack, Harmony and of course Betsy, Jack’s dog. With a little mystery and a dash of romance, I look forward to the next book in the series.
Noah DeBaise added so much to the story with his narration, bringing the characters to life.
Definitely a very good read.

A light, suspenseful mystery

There's very little courtroom drama in this story, but quite a lot of realistic suspense. This is a light mystery with little or no sex or strong language. The characters are well developed and interesting enough to make this a series worth following. And they are appropriately voiced by Noah DeBiase.

Satisfying mystery, Stellar narrator

I really enjoyed this satisfying steady paced murder mystery novel. It’s propelled by a talented narrator who really knows how to deliver. I found it to be as light or as heavy of a listen as I wanted it to be. If I missed a detail or two because I was distracted, it didn’t take away from me enjoying the story....yet no details appeared were wasted so I think if I listened again I’d find new things I missed!

I think one of the most lovely things of this book was the way Jack thought of Harmony. It lent a romantic undertone to the storyline I loved.

I really cannot speak highly enough of the narrator, it’s what attracted me to the book in the first place. He makes a great Jack!

Will The Denoument Ever End?

Rosemary Reeve unfolds a catchy mystery in "All Good Things'" opening. Hours and hours later she ends the story... but doesn't. Nope, realizing readers are crushed in loose ends she has a bunch of people explain what happened. And Explain... Then, well... explain.

Reeve's writes good action/suspense scenes. Her characters are dull, except for the heroine... she's also inexplicable. Worse, after getting denoument over everything, the book still didn't end. Nope, with an emotional cliff hanger, it's going to continue into the next one.

As for Noah DeBiase, well his boyish voice might be right for the hero's wuss-naïveté but it fails to explain how this character managed to climb from under... way under... abject poverty to snag an undergrad degree in marketing, then a law degree from schools that landed him a job with his city's richest legal firm. Given his background and his wimpy-ness, that's almost the biggest mystery Ms. Reeves spins.

In fact there are more holes in this plot than a Florida election ballot. Which explains the need for lots and lots of denoument. The huge mystery is why doesn't Jack Hart think and/or act like any man I know? Yeah, there's a risk that male leads in. mysteries might have testosterone derangement syndrome. But this Hart guy runs on empty. Wuzzup widdat?

Ms. Reeves has strong technique and I hope she grows more succinct as the series goes on. I'll not going on with it.

Okay

Not the best thriller I've read/listened to. I didn't really love Jack Hart as a character and the way the narrator read him, he sounded like a total bro. The storyline was just so/so, not a lot was uncovered as to "who done it" or even why during the book, just kind of moving forward and then everything is summarized for the reader at the end.

Page Turner!

I could not put this book down! The mystery and twists and turns had me hooked from the start. Jack Hart is an attorney who is almost forced to be a detective and it makes me think me may have chosen the wrong profession. Every time you think it may be solved, Ms. Reeve adds another layer of mystery and intrigue that keeps you reading to the very end.

Mr. DeBiase does a wonderful job narrating the book. He includes a lot of inflection for the voices that indicate the characters feelings location. I’ve heard him narrate several other books, but nothing like this. He is a very versatile narrator.

I can’t wait to see what happens to Jack next!

Best example of a murder mystery!

Rosemary Reeve should teach a class on how to write a murder mystery! Noah DiBiase should be in the next room teaching would-be narrators on exactly what it takes to hold a listeners attention. This book was excellent!!!

I'm a busy person so it's no small feat for me to listen to a 10-hour book in one day and yet, that is exactly what happened. I got so caught up in the listen that there was no way I was going to stop. The mystery was incredible!! It was layer after layer of wonderful mindblowing whodunnit-ness!! When you roll in DiBiase's funny, light-hearted and intense narration of Jack Hart and crew, then you have audiobook murder mystery perfection.

Great book

This is the first book of this series Jack Hart. I have not read anything by this author Rosemary Reeve but I will be looking for more. I really enjoyed this audiobook. Jack Hart is an associate at a large law firm in Seattle. Jack owns a crazy dog named Betsy who at first I was like this dog is too much to handle but you soon come to love the crazy dog. So much is going on in this book and all of it is good. I will be looking into other books in this series. The narrator of this book was Noah DeBiase and he does a wonderful job of narating I hope he does the next book in the series too.
I was gifted this book with the understanding that I would leave an honest review.
