Man of the Year? A genius? Or a monster?
Natalie’s best friend leaves the dance club with a handsome stranger and is found unconscious at a bus stop the next morning. What happened that night? Only Natalie’s friend knows—except she’s in the hospital, in a coma…
When Natalie sees a handsome man on the cover of a financial magazine, she recognizes the “Man of the Year”—the stranger her friend left the club with.
He is a millionaire. He is famous. He is untouchable. And—Natalie suspects—dangerous. Desperate for answers, she takes a job as a housekeeper at his mansion.
Her plan is simple. Get close to him, watch his every move, gather evidence, and make him pay.

The premise had so much potential, and I kept waiting for it to pick up or surprise me, but it never quite got there. Instead, the story felt slow and, at times, honestly a bit boring. I wanted more tension, more depth, something to really pull me in, but it just stayed pretty surface-level.
My biggest struggle was with Natalie. I tried to connect with her, but she came across as overly naive, and her constant questioning and decision-making started to feel repetitive and frustrating. It got to a point where it pulled me out of the story instead of drawing me deeper into it.
Overall, it wasn’t a terrible read, but it definitely didn’t live up to what I was expecting based on the author’s previous work. A decent concept that just didn’t fully deliver for me.
So Much Potential, But Fell Flat
