Aliens in upstate New York!

What did I just listen to?

Not sure what this was. Dry and boring narration wasn’t even the worst part. I am a huge Alien fan, and don’t mind deviation to any sort of “canon”, but this was asking too much. Not sure if this was written by ChatGP or poetry magnets, but the flow was awful. No character or story build, and repetitive descriptions make this a hard pass.

There is no plot and even less action

Seems more like a vague summarization of something not yet actually developed. Nothing explained. Nothing makes sense. Good thing it was free.

Poorly Executed

To start with, the AI voice used to narrate this was just awful. Flat and monotone. I've heard other AI read books that sounded much better. So something was just wrong with this voice.

However, as for the story, it wasn't good. At all. If you are at all familiar with the Alien universe, this book didn't make sense. Everything was incongruous and unbelievable. It feels almost like the book was created by AI, and then read by AI.

I don’t know if it was written by AI or the author has absolutely zero knowledge of what has come before in the alien universe, or was never explained in this story or in the opening words, and it was very confusing. Any offer has the lack of consideration to the character of what Helen would be good for once she would’ve never felt sorry for the alien in anyway she would’ve never taken children into a fight with the aliens.
