Wonderful

Awesome story as always by Golden Angel and it was definitely a different experience listening to one of her books. The narrator really made it great to listen to and I would definitely listen to another with this narrator. Also would listen to more by Golden Angel.

Loved The Story Some Reading Glitches?

I loved the story of this book. And I will be continuing on with the Tsenturion Masters series. I appreciated this take on alien abductions and am very interested in the politics of the different species (plus the relationship was pretty well developed and the sex was hot). I would say that if you are extremely sensitive to topics like Stockholm Syndrome you'll want to be careful with this book, but I really enjoyed it and can't wait to start the next one! The only problem I had was potentially an Audible one that is as simple as me not clicking a format button. I really appreciated the different voices for the characters, which I imagine was done using some fancy tech work, but there were times when the words from one perspective overlapped with those from another and so I couldn't hear five or so seconds of the book. I caught up pretty quickly, but it is a little glitch in enjoyment. Similarly, at times there were very long pauses between "thoughts" of characters where there was just no sound. Now, when I say long pauses, I don't mean minutes worth. Maybe thirty seconds worth? It was enough for me to wonder if Audible had suddenly closed down on me but then the story came back and it was fine. As I said, I don't know if these were Audible based issues or not, but they did affect my listening experience.

This was a great story that skirts the line of ridiculous fantasy with well... even more ridiculous fantasy. In a word, it's FANTASTIC. The premise of reading the "manuals" and preloading in regards to alien culture is pretty brilliant as most of these styles of stories spend the first part of the book dealing with the whole "you took me from Earth, how dare you," issue. This book railroads past all that noise. The heroine is genuinely likable which is really nice. The sexy time is awesome.
Please shut up and take my money. I really like the reader though the editing at one point kind of runs over itself. It's a little weird but forgivable because he's a great reader. One complaint, where are the rest of my books? Give them to me right meow!

Beam Me Up!

I read this entire series a while ago and now I get to experience it all over again in audio. It’s steamy with an awesome side of humor. I can’t wait to hear the entire series!

I enjoyed this book, it was a fun read. However, there were a few audio issues towards the end.

Steam, Humor & Poignant Emotions

This is a wonderful read. Filled with scorching steam, tongue in cheek humor and plenty of poignant emotions, this book quickly captures your imagination and keeps you fully engaged. I loved the hot chemistry between Dawn and Gavrill. I enjoyed their intense attraction and its evolution into love. These two were so different but they also had some very important things in common, especially the loneliness they both lived with. These characters had things to learn, misconceptions to overcome and both made some mistakes along the way, but that only helps to make you love them more. If you love alien/sci-fi romances that offer lots of steam and kink you want this book. Only single narration on this book but the voice was pleasing and I enjoyed the performance.

My Thoughts on Alien Captive

I really enjoyed this kick off to a new series by Lee Savino and Golden Angel. I've read a few books by each author and have enjoyed them, and combining their talents was a win. I'm a big fan of stories set in an alternate reality. This story had aliens, a pretty cool leading lady with a love of books that literally took her places, and an excellent plot.

I had the pleasure of listening to this story with a new to me narrator, but I ended up liking the performance. Normally I am a fan of duet or dual narration, and tend to prefer a female narrator for the female pov and a male narrator for the male pov. But Adam Rawn really impressed me. There was a very clear distinction between his male and female voice. And it wasn't a high, nasally female voice. He did a really good job. There were a few moments where it seemed like audio was cut weird. Like the voices were speaking over each other or jumped ahead but it didn't change my overall enjoyment of the story. I look forward to listening to the next one.
