Great Magic System

I enjoyed how the magic was based in African lore, as was the location of the story. The narrator did a great job with the accents too.

Delightful and Exciting!

I absolutely loved this book and am considering reading other works by this author. The narration was great as well!

A bit of a let down

Overall the story was good. Was a bit disappointed about the climax. It was not awful.

10/10! Once I began listening, I didn't want to stop! A masterpiece! I cannot recommend this book enough. it was very well read. A complete delight!

LOVED IT!!

Oh my gosh I LOVED it! This Audible TOTALLY blew my mind. The story is FANTASTIC and I’ve never heard a Nigerian accent or words for such a length of time. This story truly took me to another world very different then mine in real life but also included my love of a really good fantasy story!!!

An unexpected find

I really enjoyed this book! The narrator is fantastic! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a little fantasy in their books.

What a surprise!

I didn’t know much about this book before starting to read it and was instantly captured. I enjoyed the way the author was so descriptive and pulled me in to each one of the characters stories. The story had so much soul To it making me wish that it were real! I’m glad that this is book one and can’t wait to read book 2.

Loved it! Great story and full of folklore. The author. did a great job painting a picture.

Wonderful Listen

The narrative style took some time to get used to - I realized how click baity the books I read are when I kept expecting chapters to mean something sinister or characters to die just because they were mentioned in nice scenes. The story just - flows - here. And it’s interesting and vivid and memorable.
