For a moment, consider how far back in time a chain of events needed to start, for it to cause a significant and profound effect on a person’s life today. How many people were scheduled to sail on a ship which sank, or had reservations to board a flight that crashed? Dozens, if not hundreds of minor, insignificant, events had to occur in order to affect their decisions and change their fate.
For both Aimee Morgan and Martin Stuart, their chains of events started in 16th Century Scotland, when a female child was born with extreme powers. Her powers were then passed on to every female born from her line. One descendant, Lady Mary Stuart, attempted a dark spell that was beyond her abilities to control, and in a desperate attempt to protect his three young daughters from their mother’s fate, Lord Stuart moved his family to Port Townsend, Washington, in America, for a fresh start.Martin’s destiny again was changed, when Scotland and England established laws that only allowed for the eldest son to inherit the father’s estate, thus sending Martin’s parents to America to start over. When Martin’s path eventually intersects with the Stuart sisters, his life is changed beyond his wildest imagination.
Although Aimee’s birth was still decades off, these events were taking place and lining up to become the threads of her life. After moving into the abandoned Stuart Mansion in Port Townsend, Aimee discovers a ghost who has been waiting decades just for her arrival and assistance to set him free.
Both ghost and human must work together to solve an ancient riddle, and set Martin free from his ghostly existence. Only their true love for each other can set in motion, the unbelievable chain of events the Universe has in-store for them.

What a great book to listen to
I really like the narrator’s. They gave great life to the story. I love how the author kept your interest on what would happen. I will be sending out several to my family for Christmas. Great book!!!
