I should have seen that coming!

Oh my goodness I loved this story and writing style! She kept me guessing until the very end! And I looooove the characters I wanted to see more of their romance bloom but it was very slowburn and focused more on showing why the characters would be good together before them even developing remote feelings for each other.

Entertaining

This book is categorized as Romance suspense. I’m glad I didn’t let that dissuade me. I don’t normally read romance of any type. This was an enjoyable mystery with a tiny bit of the “paranormal”, and nearly no romance. It was a fun read.

Gripping

Wow, though a very atypical book for me, this is an exceptional and gripping read. It’s a contemporary, paranormal, murder mystery/suspense novel, one that I found most difficult to put down.

The MCs have the rare ability to detect, track, and even stop the heartbeat of those around them. A series of sudden and suspicious deaths surrounding the FMC brings a secret government agency down upon her, and she becomes caught up in a dangerous web. The writing is excellent and the plot really well developed.

This is part of a series, but this first book ends at a good spot (rather than a cliffhanger). I’ll definitely be reading the next book.

There is no foul language or sex. There is some violence with several murders, but it’s not gory or excessive. There is no romance in this first book. There is no real mention of faith or God.
