Ryan Maxwell built the ultimate survival Bunker in which his family could ride out any disaster imaginable, never thinking that any such disaster would actually come.

But disaster did eventually come in the form of the Immuno-Degenerative and Epidermal Decomposition Virus (Strain 2). ImDED2 nearly ended mankind overnight, and fate has largely kept Ryan from enjoying the safety of the Bunker with his family.

Now there’s a plan to end the menace of the living dead once and for all, and Ryan, Nick and Michael must, once again, lead their friends on a cross-country trek to break into highly secured, abandoned military sites. If they are successful, the power unleased by man’s greatest weapons might just be the secret to man’s ultimate salvation.

I love the family dynamic of all the guys and the silly humor they can still express even in the horror they are living. (AKA Big “D”). This cliffhanger is too much for my poor heart. I can’t believe I have to wait a year. But… I will!

Captivating with a heavy well needed dose of comedy

Love the series so far, looking forward to the next installments. As a veteran myself I love the humor, it is spot on and has me laughing the whole time. I have listened to a lot of zombie apocalypse books and it had me hooked from the first one, mainly because of the new take I haven’t heard before that zombies were essentially a “normal” thing but no serious outbreak yet. Has me thinking about my own bunker dreams.

Great audiobook

Story is great, and have some nice comedy inside it. The only thing I felt like this time around was the story ended a bit too fast. I normally try to listen a little bit at a time, however it still ended kind of fast for me. I hope the next one will be a bit longer.

Absolutely Love This Series

Great continuation of the story as Ryan and team look to keep the ones they love safe and save mankind. Narration was top notch again. But J.S. kills me with the cliffhanger ending. Can’t wait until book 7!

I like variety of great characters.

this is definitely 1 of my best zombie reads, I check often to see when the next installments come out.
