This book is for anyone. Young or old, men or women. It gives you an understanding of what a men should and should do. DOs and DON'Ts.

This is perhaps the single best men's study I've ever done. Very challenging and encouraging.

Beyond Practical Manly Biblical Counsel

James MacDonald is such a seasoned pastor and like a spiritual grandfather of the faith. Every chapter is the perfect length for a morning devotional. It is a call to arms for all men of faith to grow up and become the godly man God not only intends, but demands of them. The book takes one verse of scripture and unpacks for it a 40 day long tour de force with homework and lifelong application. To be honest, I put it down for a while after the third devotional to read a different book, yet wish I hadn't as I became trapped into some sin that I may have avoided had I finished this text first. It is a must for any man that is serious about growing in their faith.

I really like the way this was laid out. I want to read this book with a group of men and answer questions at the end of each chapter.

Author was well researched and applied personal stories as a pastor and n man to assist us understanding our role as Christian men. His book also validated many other themes and criteria I have read and follow today

I highly recommend. Best takeaway - Love = you before me. The Christian life is really all about love. Kinda simple.
