Good book.

Good narration. I also enjoyed the story. It made me think of my own life.

Simply Delightful

A simple little novel about ordinary people...and yet I liked them immediately and cared about what happened to them. It's hard to believe that the narrators, (the author and a man), were not actually these people. The man, especially, was so real, and someone you would love to meet. I'm glad I stumbled upon this one!

Highly enjoyable.I was able to identify with the main character's feelings and enjoyed this book immensly

Heartwarming! I enjoyed the narrators. It was like listening to a play. Easy listening. Loved Jacks sense of humor.

Perfect Audiobook

Really well suited to audiobook, the story is narrated in the personal voices of the two characters which makes it a really enjoyable listen.

sad love story

I like that the narration went from female to male voice, made it easier to follow. Not a great story line for adventure, but surely one for love and devotion.

A real wife is really missed

A warm, real look at a good wife and her marriage at the end of her life. Her thoughts and those of her husband's, throughout the time of her illness, and past the end of her life, are quietly shared and deeply felt. Simple people, sharing simply the truth.

Poignant, humorous and tender novel

The readers brought the characters to life in this insightful novel of life and death. Loved it.

worse I have heard

I love Kaye Gibbons work but, in my opinion, this was her worse. And the narrator was even worse than worse, terrible monotone voice I couldn't stand to listen to. i wish I had read the reviews first. Save your time and money don't bother.
