If Charles can find justice for the victims, it will be a far, far better thing than he has ever done. But with a twist or two in this most peculiar case, he and Kate may be in for the worst of times....

Wow! Pulls you back in time. Amazing!

I'm on my 2nd read of the book. The story telling is spot on . The author does a full immersion back in time With descriptions that allowed the reader to feel see smell and taste the story. Loved it! I can't wait to see Dickens again With His natural curiosity and Journalistic integrity.

Great descriptions

Incredible use of narrative. The descriptions make the listener feel present in the story. Wish it was easier to distinguish the different characters. When there’s several at a time it gets tricky to tell by the voice.

Really nice story

I thoroughly enjoyed the story and it’s characters. Well thought out. The narrator did a great job too.

Interesting murder

I enjoyed this book. Listened through Audible. Narrator was perfect for this mystery. Good characters and great story line. Stumped me till the end on who was the murderer. Fun book. Worth reading.

Kept me guessing until the very end

When I first came across this book on NetGalley, I decided then and there that A Tale of Two Murders was a book that I needed to read.

I am a huge fan of Victorian Era mystery novels such as The Murdoch Mystery Series and the Dody McCleland series, so I figured that I would love this brand new book featuring Charles Dickens as the main protagonist. I was not wrong,

I enjoyed every minute of this book. So much so that I purchased the audiobook to accompany the text.

I loved that the mystery was reasonably complex, and the author had you attempting to guess the outcome until the very end. I may have had a few late nights in my desperation to find out whodunit.

Additionally, in regards to the audio narration, I felt that Tim Campbell did an outstanding job on this book. I wouldn't hesitate to listen to more narrated works from him.

Overall, I truly adored this mystery and hope that Kate Redmond continues on as a series.

The pieces are there -- but don't move together very well. Did not engage me.

Creative idea for a novel

I thoroughly enjoyed this wholesome novel from beginning to end and loved listening to the narrator the whole way through. Author and narrator did an amazing job!

Enjoyable From Start To Finish..!!

I began looking for a British based Cozy mystery set in winter.. This one was superior in my estimation.
It had all of the right ingredients.

I really enjoyed this book. Keep me interested throughout. Hoping audible offers Redmond’s second book in this series which comes out July 30 2019.
