A very cute story.
At first I was thinking that the main character was a special needs women. The narrator made her seem too naive to be a grown women. Especially a grown Black women raised by a single mother. Black mothers don't raise naive women. As the story goes on you see a young woman who is strong, makes mistakes but owns them. I like the main two characters a lot, and would recommend this book to anyone who love AMBW love stories. Lord knows there are not enough of them!!

I overall it was a good book however, I did not like the care of Alice, she seem a bit too naïve and needy. I get that she was optimistic, but I felt like she never really cared about how other people feel, but only how she felt

it has potential just needs a little more work
the idea of the story had potential but it seemed rushed and almost like it started out as one story then changed to another halfway through then ended kind of abruptly. it just felt like something was missing

Underwhelmed
This book is underwhelming. It was hard to listen to. The narrator was really bad. It was really hard to even finish listening to the book. The storyline was all over the place.
