Lovely look at nature

The narration was nice. This was a short, pleasant read and I’m glad Barbara Kingsolver is promoting it. This is rightfully compared to Thoreau’s writing.

One of the best books I have ever read

An important portrayal of how important and beautiful nature is. I would suggest that this book be read by every person to help them better understand and appreciate the world around them.

Classic Book

This is my second time reading this book. I first read it many years ago and it's one of the reasons I became interested in nature.This is a classic book that should be mandatory reading for anyone interested in nature and environmental literature.

Liked the book, hated the reader

Normally I can get through a book with an irritating reader by speeding it up to 1.1 x the recorded pace. This reader required a speed of 1.15. She accented the wrong syllables in some words (i.e. fisherman, angleworms) and completely mispronounced others like slough (this has always been pronounced sloo in my part of Wisconsin). I wish this book had been read by a man from Wisconsin instead of a woman from somewhere else. This reading feels disrespectful to Aldo Leopold.

This is a timeless polemic to help explain our role in stewarding our planet
