Book one in a next-generation spin-off of the bestselling Stay a Spell series.

After yet another bar fight and arrest, bad boy Ronan Reed leaves Texas to live with his Uncle Shane, alpha of the Blood Moon pack. Since werewolf cage fighting isn't illegal in Louisiana, Ronan makes big plans to lead his own team in the ring. But when he sets eyes on sweet Celine Cruz, his whole world stops, and she becomes a tantalizing distraction he doesn't need.

As an Aura witch, Celine always wants to help heal the broken. She knows all too well what it's like to battle anxiety, and so she's dedicated her life to helping those in need. But the second she meets Ronan, she knows she's in trouble. He's everything her close-knit family would hate: a werewolf with a hot temper and a sinful grin to match who runs with a dangerous crowd. So why can't she stay away?

Ronan thinks she's a good girl. Little does he know that all Celine wants is to do wicked things with the bad boy werewolf who revels in breaking all her rules. As their forbidden romance becomes too tempting to resist, Ronan notices that the wolves are circling… and they're coming after his mate.

I read Wolf Gone Wild by Juliette Cross while I was in a reading slump and I loved it. But for some reason, I couldn't get into reading the rest of her books after the slump. I think I understand why now. Some books are meant to be read, and some books are meant to be listened to. Juliette Cross’s books are meant to be LISTENED TO bc this was an EXPERIENCE.

My taste in books also varies widely. So, it's likely I just wasn't in the mood for another book of this genre or style after Wolf Gone Wild. You really have to open yourself up to the concept of insta-love and being in love with the concept of love itself. Once you get yourself in that state, nothing but giggles, heart flutters, and elevated temperatures (Cross’s books are hella spicy) are in your future.

The story was 4/5 for its purposes; I think it was just meant to be fun and it was hella fun. I wasn't too intrigued by the action plot; however, I was captivated by the romance, the homey spin-off world, and Ronan’s response to his trauma. I read Wolf Gone Wild first, so seeing all the connections between the characters was cool.

Overall, it's a great fun audiobook for cleaning or cooking day (WITH HEADPHONES)!

Aiden Snow … well, yes.

It was so great to have some therapist rep that wasn’t unethical. I love that this starts to go into the kids stories. The narrators are so great too!

I loved this one so much

Loved the story, the characters, and the NARRATORS!!! WOW! 😍They honestly really made this story stand out for me! Totally brought it to life!🩷 The deep, resonant, rumbly baritone of the male narrator was just, mmmmm, delicious!❤️The female narrator surprised me with the portrayal of the MMC'S voice, wow! She was great all the way around, but I don't think I've ever heard a female narrator capture a male characters voice like that! She made his parts sound so sexy, dang!!!❤️ She really really really did a good job, she totally brought the scenes to life just with the voices! I could see, in my head, the looks on their faces, especially his, when they talked and bantered! Usually I need the male narrators voice to create a vision of the MMC, but she did it all by herself! Kudos to both narrators, I will be looking for more audio books that they have narrated! I really liked this book, even though there was no real plot beyond the romance- it was so well written and the characters were so likeable, it worked for me with just the romance. The only thing I would question is if there was a typo about the height of the wolf form of the MMC- 16 FEET?!! That seems extreme! No way she could get on his back, lol! I'm thinking maybe that should have been 16 hands, like horses- still huge, but doable- just a suggestion! I was a little surprised at the abrupt ending- I know the epilogue tied up the loose ends, but that's not really what an epilogue is for- it's to give a look down the road a bit, after the story arc ends. To have the story arc end so abruptly with the climactic fight scene, then no resolution... it was a little weird. I'm glad the epilogue handled the end of the story arc, but it was still weird! Anyway, it was a great story and I hope there is a next one!😍

Awesome! 5 stars!!

This was like coming home after a long day of work. It’s a great second generation welcome. Fabulous story which was enhanced with spectacular narrators. Wish this was longer and had more outside family involvement. Can’t wait for the next book in the series. Crossing my fingers it will have the same narrators too.
