Resumen del Editor

This book will take you through the necessary steps to take your power back and get your lifestyle working for you again!

Habits make up the majority of the way you live, and there are times when your way of living does not match who you are anymore. Often, that habit was born out of a need to cope with some sort of stress/overwhelm or life challenge, however you now know that those coping skills have gone awry, and they are no longer serving you.

Learn to:

  • Quit an old habit
  • Begin a new healthy lifestyle change
  • Understand the function(s) behind your habit (s)
  • Work with your cravings
  • Kick self-sabotage to the curb
  • Discover the strategies that work best for you in your journey of change.
  • Take this change process one small step at a time so your change will last

Liz uses a simple yet effective "Ask Yourself" section at the end of each chapter that will ignite your intuition and wisdom for a process of change that will keep you empowered and aware along your powerful journey of transformation.

Liz Myers, MA, is a habit change facilitator, author, singer, counselor, and certified coach. Great book with some fresh ideas on habit change.

I've read many habit change books that I have enjoyed; what I really like about this one is that it has given me some new ideas and tips on how to be successful in making lasting changes. I appreciate how the author identifies and examines reasons why you might not be successful in a habit change and then gives useful, easy to implement suggestions on how to overcome these roadblocks that we have all faced so many times before.
I have recommended it to many friends already. It's a quick read/listen and it is sprinkled with real life examples and just the right amount of humor.

WOW! - Wise, Funny, Compassionate & Practical!

Liz Myers delivers a beautiful, rich, compassionate and humorous guide to habit change. Her voice and energy in the audible version transmit a healing, validating, hopeful and manageable approach to letting go of harmful behaviors and replacing them with beneficial ones. She adeptly weaves in the origins of harmful habits, understanding how at one time they were helpful and purposeful, appreciating their value in order to let them go. Liz encourages self-compassion in the listener/reader and a friendliness toward oneself. This is in sharp contrast to many habit change manuals that promote strict, rigid black and white attitudes and rules that foster feelings of failure when one can't keep up. Liz shares personal stories that exemplify her compassion and understanding of how challenging habit change can be, but slowly, gently, with room for lapses and mis-steps, she shows the reader it can be done!
