While Gwen frets about whether to trust her scientist boyfriend, currently out of town on a beetle-studying trip, she’s worried that local grad student Jeremy is secretly a Watcher doing his own research. Cousin Trudy is so stressed that she accidentally enchants her cupcakes, creating havoc among her bakery customers - and in her marriage.

Perhaps it’s time the family took back control and figured out how to harness their powers. How else can Gwen decide whether her growing feelings for Jeremy are real - or the result of too many of Trudy’s cupcakes?

Frustrating heroine

There were multiple times I almost stopped this book, especially near the end, because the heroine was so passive. Nice world building but the main character was difficult to root for.

Great Audio & Fun Witchy Read

What a fun read! I didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as I did. It's quick. It's witchy, humerous and it's perfectly spooktactular 😂😂

I really enjoyed the chapters from the cat's perspective. It is always enjoyable to "see" into a cat's mind. I also enjoyed the light banter and romance between the different couples. This is just the read I needed.

For those who want a lighter read during Spooktober, snag this one and add it to those lists.

Very entertaining

I really enjoyed this book. It is a fresh take, not just the same old story. It has characters you can really care about. Nothing over the top ridiculous. The characters are not just cardboard cut outs, from central casting. They are multi dimension. I look forward to other books by this author.

Gwen the Cheater

Loved this book overall— fun story, unique witch lore, great dynamics. The romantic choices for the main character are troubling and confusing however, making it hard to like her at the end.
