Exceptional Listen/Read

Ne-a and Zane were meant/made for one another. Ne-a grew up due to lack of a father figure and Zane was broken due to a cheating wife, loss of a child, and divorce. This listen kept me interested, from beginning to end.

I'd recommend to anyone !!!

Truth and Relatable

This story spoke volumes for me! So much of her N’ae’s insecurities and demeanor were so relatable. Wishing and wanting love from a partner when you’ve never experienced it from those who were supposed to show you love first is a common theme. I appreciate the realness of this book. Winston James will always be a favorite of mine!

Growth

I loved the growth with Ne'a and Zane, they were both broken but were able to heal together. They healed and and learned to love one another the way each needed

A Wonderfully Surprising Experience

I laughed, I gasped, I was intrigued, my heart was pierced... I was captivated by the story & engaged to the very end. The narrators brought it.

The Girl Is Me

The book was so good. I didn’t know what to expect but I enjoyed it. It was surprising and very well written. The twists and turns were amazing and true unexpected life experiences. The narrators were great hands down. This was my first book by this author but not my last. I’m going to find more books by her. Thanks for the book, keep them coming!!❤️❤️

Really Good!

I must admit this book was wayyyy better than I expected! Not sure what I expected but I would highly recommend. Great story!

Ne'a Had an Amazing Support System

This isn't the first audiobook I've listened of the work by Tay Monae. Narration was excellent. I don't recall ever hearing Alyx, but Winston is one of my favorites. I was looking so forward to this audiobook. I felt bad for Ne'a and all that she went through since she was born. She didn't get a chance to live her life the way she should have under those unfortunate circumstances. That caused her to make unwise choices especially when it came to relationships. She was forming them based on what she knew. She just wanted to be loved and give love in return. Her friend Kya felt her boyfriend's brother would be a perfect match. Once Zane got to know her, she was the one for him. He quickly became attached and was determined to help her through her issues. He had issues, too - one being Zoe 😔. Zane and Ne'a had great chemistry; she loved her some him and vice versa.

Great book with good suspense and drama and of course love and romance with a twist

It was good. It was a good solid book. Not great but definitely good. The performance was also great 5/5

The narration

I like how there were two narrators it made me want to listen longer. This was a good story line.
