Welcome to the picturesque seaside town of Holly Blue Bay, where love blossoms in the most unusual of places.

Daisy Clarke arrives in Holly Blue Bay at the request of the town’s mayor. The mayor wants Daisy to perform a marketing miracle on the town, and to increase the visitor numbers too. The town holds a special place in Daisy’s heart as something magical happened to her when she visited this place as a child. She’s determined to show the rest of the world how wonderful the town is, and will use all her marketing skills to do so.

Jacob Smythe is a grumpy handyman who turns up at Daisy’s new office. She immediately mistakes him for someone else, which certainly breaks the ice between them. Just as Jacob is warming to Daisy, the mayor turns up and tells him why Daisy is in Holly Blue Bay. Jacob is furious and refuses to admit the town needs help, especially from an outsider.

Things change over the next few days as Jacob and Daisy spend more time together. They find themselves drawn to each other, and love begins to grow. But then something terrible happens which results in Daisy deciding to leave Holly Blue Bay, and Jacob, behind. Can Jacob convince her to stay?

A short, clean romance

This was the first book I've read/listened to by Cathy Blossom. It was a short, clean, insta love romance that was well written. I enjoyed the storyline and most of the characters. It had a Mayberry feel to it for this American girl.

Rita Chakraborty did a wonderful job as narrator. Both male and female voices were well done.

cute story

This is a sweet romance with some humor. Daisy went to Holly Blue Bay, to help market the picturesque town to the tourist trade. John is a handyman who visited her. Mistaking him for someone else, did not go well. The more the time they spent together, the more they were attracted to each other.
Rita Chakraborty narration was very good and entertainment. I was gifted the audio and offered my honest review

What a terrific story brought to life with great storytelling by Rita Chakraborty. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and finding myself with a huge smile on my face over and over again. It isn't long but the characters come alive. I hope to hear more from Holly Blue Bay.

Great Read

A Fresh Start in Holly Blue Bay: A Holly Blue Bay Romance, Book One was a great read by Cathy Blossom. Daisy comes to Holly Blue Bay to perform a marketing miracle on the town. Jacob shows up to her office as a handyman when she mistakes him as someone else. Things are going well for them until the mayor tells him why she's there. I really enjoyed reading Daisy and Jacob's story. Rita Chakraborty did a great job of narrating this book. I can't wait to read more by Cathy Blossom.

A Charming & Delightful Story! Fabulous Narration🎧

This story is a charming delight, it is well written and well told with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to. Daisy Clarke is hired to help put Holly Blue Bay, a quaint seaside town back on the map. She will be marketing the town to attract tourists to bring in much needed business to help revitalize the town’s economy. She will show off the towns charm and beauty. Jacob Smythe is the town’s handyman, he shows up at Daisy’s place to sweet what works she needs done, their first meeting does not go over too well, first she mistakes him for something else then he finds out why she is in town. He is resistant to change and is afraid new things will attract the wrong people, mainly developers. The saving grace is Malcolm, his dog who took to Daisy right away. Other than Jacob most of the town was welcoming to her, Jacob comes to his senses and warms to her too. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is a charming story with some drama, some light hearted humor, heartfelt moments and a sweet romance. Cathy Blossom, thank you for this wonderful, entertaining and enjoyable story.

Rita Chakraborty is a terrific narrator and voice artist. She brings the characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality. She does an amazing job portraying the characters, humanizing them, capturing all their emotions and projecting them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fabulous listen🎧

Clean romance

The book is predictable and not taxing on the brain. some will like it and others not so much.
I would recommend it to those who love clean romance who don't mind insta-love.

Cute and Sweet Romance

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review and all opinions expressed herein are mine.

Daisy comes to Holly Blue Bay to help market the town for tourism. She meets Jacob, the town handyman, but mistakenly believes ne is a stripper sent by her friend. Initially Jacob and Daisy butt heads, however, as Jacob sees the good she is doing for the town and the fact that his dog really likes her - he begins to change his mind.

This is a short, sweet and clean romance with some good humor thrown in. The MC are likeable and while the story is predictable and some of the resolutions to their problems were a bit too easy - it was a feel good story and an enjoyable time in Holly Blue Bay.

The narrator was a good fit for this book and made it a fun listen.

When they first meet there are some misunderstandings, but soon the adventure takes off and the listener will be along for the ride.



The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Rita Chakraborty.

Lighthearted

I got this arc via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This is a lighthearted HEA. Centered around a small town. The narration was good and made each character come to life. I love the postman and the dog.

This is a sweet romance that is totally an easy listen. Rita Chakraborty did a great job on the narration! Daisy is brought to Holly Blue Bay to bring in more tourism. She fell in love with the town as a child and has the best family memories of this town and it butterflies. Jacob hates change and sees red when he finds out why she is in town. She finally helps him see her dream and together they work on whats best for the town.
