The action unfolds at a rip-roaring pace in this perfectly executed homage to the Golden Age of crime, which features a deviously devised plot boasting a final twist worthy of Christie herself. I loved it!

Wait till the end!

Started off slow but kept reading very good story lots of twists! I would recommend to any one looking for a good detective story.

Like listening to the radio before television

I have never written a book so hate to be disparaging but I found this story to be drawn out. I nearly abandoned it midway. The ending is somewhat surprising but simultaneously disappointing. I won’t elaborate in order to avoid spoiling for other listeners . Probably just not my preferred style
Of story telling.

With a caveat I give 4 stars

I hate this kind of story where the seemingly good guy is a wretch and the good guy gets done iI will say no more so as not to give the whole story away but aaarrrgggg!

Boring reader

Reader boring plot went on far too long also non sympathetic characters couldn't wait for end

Ugly

I hated this book. I never once felt anxious to listen but instead had to force myself to finish. It became increasingly ugly. There was not one appealing character, no humor, only meanness and a generous dose of stupidity. I hope to return it if I am allowed because I know I will never listen to it again as I do many really good audio books. The narration was fairly good.
