This is the best book in the series so far. I really like Ruvan. He has a calmness and maturity that appeals to me. I love the relationship that forms with Ruvan and a person close to Floriane later on. Trying not to spoil anything there. Floriane is tough and her struggles are believable. This is a true to enemies to lovers romance. Quite good.

Loved her forging skills. Nail biting in ending plot twist!

I love all the Married to Magic books, however this one may just be my favorite. Loved the back and forth between Ruvan and Floriane.

Initial reaction: DAMN. There's just something so sexy about vampires/vampirs

I wanted to take some time to really think about how I wanted to review A Duel with the Vampire Lord. I've read almost every book Elise Kova has published but dtruggled to get into her Married to Magic Series. I first listened to A Deal with the Elf King and wasn't blown away, however this book rocked my socks!!

What stood out the most was the mystery elements of the plot! I wasn't expecting that and enjoyed the progression of character development, character growth and puzzle piecing the information. There are more prominent adult themes but still felt like fun fantasy. In addition, the spice level turns up just slightly.

Elise captures the readers attention with beautifully, complex characters and a plot that makes you root for vampires. I couldn't stop listening to A Duel with the Vampire Lord and loved every jaw dropping and steamy scene.

A fun one in the series!

I thought I wouldnt like this one as much. I am lot crazy about vampires, but I think it might be my favorite in the series so far! The story is more full than the previous. I really enjoyed the first two as well, but this story felt more dynamic and had a lot of depth to it. Fun characters, stakes were high. A fun good story!

A spectacular ride

The mystery in this is so amazing. I also loved the fact that this author doesn’t write “fated mates” Ruvon and Florion had to fight for everything they had! Elise Kova is brilliant at writing romance among heartache and mystery and duty 💕 Can’t wait to read the next one!

Such an unexpected twist on Vampires, or the Vampir!

I LOVED THIS!!!
Kova never disappoints. I was so excited to finally read this new story in the Married to Magic world!! First there was the Elves, then the Fae, now the Vampires and next will be the Sirens! I don’t want the stories in this world to end!

Ruvan, the Vampire Lord, and Floriane have such a slow-burning, but beautiful relationship. Ruvan is so gentle and kind. Floriane really lucked out by being blood sworn to him. Although it doesn’t appear so at first.

This was adventurous, with plenty of twists and turns, it had FANTASTIC world building, and well rounded characters! The plot had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen!

All-in-all, this was a BRILLIANT Fantasy Romance story!! It will look so nice on my bookshelf with the first two books in this world!

The narration was done very well, her voice changed perfectly from character to character, making the story come alive!!

Probably one of my favorite female inner monologues. Strong willed, self aware and so much growth.

New to Elise Kova

The store is she makes are so rich and detailed. The slow burn is wonderful.

Great addition to an already phenomenal collection

As always, Elise Kova has knocked it out of the park. Dual with a Vampire lord was a phenomenal addition to the Married to Magic collection.

As with the other books, Kova has taken well known fantasy tropes and turned them into something fresh and new. Her take on Vampiric magic is a breath of fresh air that I greatly appreciate.

While DWAVL isn’t my favorite of the MTM collection, it’s still a stand out story that is well worth your time and stands far above many of the romance fantasy books out there to date.

I can’t wait for the next installment!
