monotone narrator

story was good but the narration made it hard to listen to... total lack of emotion

Computer “reading” had too many errors.

The monotone of the “reader” was hard to follow during conversations. Had to keep track of which characters are speaking.
MO is for Modus Operandi not “mow”
CI is for Confidential Informant not “see”
And the worst is “hit and run” being read as “hit an drun” ???

The AI voice drove me nuts

The AI voice has no emotion. Made the books very dry and boring it was a free listen. I would not buy this or any book read by AI.

listening to books read by AI. spectacularly unsatisfying. I will be carefully checking future purchases to avoid this.

just didn't like it

I just realized that I don't like virtual voice, it doesn't always comprehend the way to use specific words. Like record, they were talking about having a criminal record and it was read as of someone was going to record what you said. There were other examples of this throughout the books.

I know that authors have the right to write anything, but it should make sense. A regular detective is not going to go to Russia with someone that was just a short time before brought in as a suspect. Or allow that person to threaten someone with a gun (after just meeting them). The books were just to hard to believe, to understand who was talking. So many conversations questions and then just the answer 'yes'. half the time I didn't know who was replying because it never said. I had to stop listening to it because it was a waste of my time.
