I am so obsessed with this serie and seriously can’t wait for the next one!!!!!

The beginning of the chapters don't tell you whose POV is being told.

I don't know if they didn't record the POV at the beginning of the chapter or what but I think some listeners might get a little confused if they aren't paying close attention. It didn't bother me and after a minute I figured out which mmc point of view was being told. Just a warning . This might bother some.
But other than it was great! Love the story and I can't wait until book .

I counted down the MINUTES for this audiobook. I loved it! It was a great read and the audiobook just makes it better. I am a huge Desireé Ketchum fan and Corvin King absolutely slayed this. His Annex is perfect and I am so glad we are blessed with it.

I love the main characters of this story. The world building is just right. The story keeps you interested. I love having different POVs. The narration is perfect. Overall good book. Can’t wait for book 3 to come out.

Mikai is starting to unravel all the secrets surrounding her past. Serria is still vile. Her old friends are still vile. New foes come to light. Mikai is growing in power. She's forming stronger relationships with her men.

With that said, I need to know more. More about her dreams. More about Serria and her power. More about the strange creatures attacking everyone. More about the hot teacher. More about the counsel and their minions.

I look forward to the next book.

I loved the book The narration was amazing. The story was like a roller coaster. I can’t wait for the next one.

Did not want this to end

Best new paranormal romance author I’ve found in a very long time. Absolutely addictive, and my favorite aspect is the FMC is SMART and STRONG the entire time! There is a backstory discussing her prior gullibility and weaknesses, but we don’t have to suffer through it in real time. I LOVE this series so far!!!

I need book 3 ASAP

Read this the day it dropped on KU and the audio book is just as good. I want Book 3 so bad 😭

Both books are VERY repetitive. But also addicting 😂

I gave 5 stars to the first book because it was fun even though there was little world building, little character development & VERY little plot progression. But the concept of the book was intriguing to keep going. Her guys are fun so the book was fun. (Spoiler alert from book one)….i just wished there would have been ANY moment where she actively tried to figure out why her sister gave her the necklace. And who was in on setting her up. But she didn’t do a single thing in the first book to move the plot forward. Not one. The plot was non existent. It was mostly introducing her to these cool new guys which I loved. And then a good majority was having actual Runins (like actually running into them) with the boys of her past. And EVERY interaction with them was basically proving that her sister had control over them. It was very easy to figure that out fast. But it felt like we were forced to hear the same runin and same conversation with them a solid 6 or 7 times. There was just SO much room to omit a few of those conversations and introduce those characters differently for us to figure it out. Also at the end of every one of those interactions Macai would said something like, “why do you hate me” and one of them would pause dumbfounded, start to open their mouth to say something. And she would stop them and say “I don’t even want to know”. I just kept thinking, let them answer you, stop cutting them off. 😂 But overall it was just a really FUN read and a really GOOD time. So I was looking forward to book two because there was no way the second book wouldn’t progress the plot more. But truthfully, it didn’t progress it much. Maybe just an inch (the amount book one should have). It was still good. I still recommend listening to it for fun. But as far as book one and two got us in the story, it should have been one book. Not two. (Potential spoiler for this book). I was really excited when this book started with her saying she wanted to trust them and tell them her story. It seemed like this plot was finally going to start moving forward. But then it became another repeated topic that she wanted to tell them. But never did. Then everything that was stated between the sister and her childhood guys was already what we understood as readers in the first book. I just wish her interactions with them had a variety of conversations as opposed to the same interactions over and over again in this book. And gadriel is non existent in this book. There is just SO much potential here and I hope we finally get a SOLID amount of plot progression in the next book. I’m hoping there will be some character development for ALL the main characters and enemies. And I hope we’ll start to learn a little more about the world. And maybe her dad will show up at some point to give us more theories to mull over. The bully thing is engrained. As readers, no need to keep pushing it so hard on us in the same ways. Personal opinions…but please no more actual runins to people. 😂 Now we want this cool ass plot to finally get started. Because this series still has SOOO much potential. It’s going to get there! It will! And you’ll still have fun reading them or listening to them.
