Narcissists are everywhere. It is said that we are in the midst of a narcissist epidemic. Some sources claim that one in four people is a narcissist. This means that your child, parent, neighbor, coworker, friend, or partner could very well be a narcissist.

Narcissists are often not harmful when they keep to themselves. Their behavior becomes a problem when they try to interact with other people. They often don't know how to act, and thus they cause others a significant deal of pain. It is often hard to distinguish whether the narcissist is being malicious, inadvertently neglectful, or just plain self-centered in his behaviors. This causes anxiety in a person who is trying to relate to a narcissist in any way. He seems like he is a chameleon with ever-changing colors and a mood to go with each one.

This short book is very accurate at describing person diagnosed with NPD. Very short and explanatory.

Not The Basics

This book is very informative for someone who understand narcissism and basics of abnormal psychology.

A quick listen and valuable insight for those married to a narcissist. Even a few suggestions of how to survive the inevitable war.

this book really has no benefit or useful information. I would not read another book from this author. it was very plain and uninformative.

Not a good book for learning how to deal with narcissists.

This book had a very different view on how to deal with a narcissist than other books I've read. I don't think the advice was very applicable if you are dealing with a true narcissist. There was some good advice on how to deal with husbands and improve your relationship in a respectful way.
