Listening to Fry’s soothing voice is a pleasure in itself. That he relates stories we’ve either forgotten or never knew is an added bonus. A perfect audiobook in my opinion.

Might be my favorite audio book ever. Stephen Fry loves and understands myth in a rare and honest way, and, as he well knows, has the best voice.

A Herculean feat in research

Pardon the pun, but this retelling of the heroes tales is quite a feat in research and untangling of details, characters, pedigree, and chronology. Fabulously written and performed by Stephen Fry, the narrative is compelling, engaging, funny, and entertaining. Wonderful all the way around.
