Odin, the jarl’s son, wants to be with Loki and has for as long as he can remember. Odin intends to use the magic of Yuletide - the time between the old year and the new one - to win over Loki.

This was a surprising mix of sweetness and spice. Something about the winter setting gave it a magical intimate feel. For such a short story, I was also surprised at how much I felt we got to know the characters.

The narration was really well done. The voices has their own distinct personality and the tone was consistently on point.

The two seem sweet enough and both longed for the other. I enjoyed the time they spent listening to the poets just as much as the ending.

Knowing this was to be a quick listen I thought it was wonderful. The authors writing makes me want more. The narration was amazing. Clive Johnson has a nice voice. I enjoyed how the voices were changed for both men and the tones were just right to give them both a sexy sound.

I did have to slow the reading down to 90 for my liking.

The story is very short and sweet. It is for the young and also for the young at hearts. I really enjoyed this short audiobook.

This is a sweet story about two men who long for one another and finally take the chance during this special time of the year. Loki never thought he had a real chance with Odin but all the glances and touches from the man give him hope that one day they could be so much more than friends. When Odin surprises Loki will he grab his chance at happiness?

I enjoyed this story. It gives listeners a beautiful tale of romance between two young men uncertain about the reactions to their feelings. Odin and Loki’s friendship is strong, and both men want more but can they have a chance at love? Odin is ready to show Loki his true feelings and put his heart on the line. These two make a wonderful couple. Their feelings show in everything that they do. Their story is a short and sexy read that will have you embracing the magic of love. Narrator Clive Johnson brings their story to life nicely. The narrative has a good flow to it and I was quickly lost in the story and its characters.

a great short story that was quite interesting I would have expected some more details but I do understand it's a very short story and maybe it what what the author meant it was enjoyable overall it was very cute quite nice for this length of time

this was short, but oh so sweet . Set in the time of Jarls and Odin and Loki.

This definitely is everything I thought I would get from a mere one hour listen of a sweet, heartwarming Yuletide story. 😊 Odin and Loki are childhood best friends and both harbors secret feelings for each other. Since Odin is the next Jarl-in-line, Loki thought it’s quite unlikely that his feelings for Odin would be reciprocated and the dream of being always beside him seems impossible. 😢 Unbeknownst to sweet, innocent Loki, Odin has loved him for a very long time and has arranged everything so that sweet Loki can become Odin’s precious little housewife with the blessing of the Jarl, Odin’s father. 😍 After all, ‘tis the season for joy, love, hope and family and our two sweet boys is about to start a family of their own. 😌


Ki Brightly managed to warm my heart with sweet, fuzzy feelings with this very short holiday story and I’m quite impressed with the narrator, Clive Johnson’s performance. It simply was a very pleasant and entertaining listen. The only fault I could find for sweet short story is that I now find vying to get the full story of these two boys. 😁 Really enjoyed it and would recommend anyone who likes their audios short and sweet and entertaining. 😉

Listening to this story was a great way to spend an hour in traffic. I really liked Odin and Loki, and I loved seeing their long-time friendship turn suddenly into a sexy and devoted relationship. I felt like I knew both men well, considering the length of the story, and that says great things about the author. The narrator offered a wonderful performance, which combined with the strong writing, left me with a smile. I really enjoyed this!
