Aspen and Enzo

The narrators did a great job.
I loved listening to Aspen and Enzo's story. I found it hot, funny, entertaining and interesting. Aspen is a female shifter in a world that not many knew about so her family hid her identity. Enzo is a grumpy wolf king from another pack and finds her by herself in the forest and takes her and once he washes away her perfume she wears to ward off the wolves his automatically wants her. I enjoyed it Enzo is a possessive, protective alpha. Aspen gives him a run for his money as she refuses to back down and has no problem letting Enzo know how ridiculous he is sometimes. There is also a rouge wolf they are hunting, packs turning against the ones who helped Aspen hide her identity, another female wolf discovered and is looking for protection from a stalker, a secret revealed that changes everything and things from the past is revealed. Can't wait for the next book hopefully it's Nova's story because I want to know who the stalker is.

I am definitely in love with this 1st book in this series. Enzo and Aspen are feisty, spicy and sweet. This is a new take on a shifter life than what is the norm to me. I loved it. The side characters are great and you can just feel the future books and who and what they will be about. I do look forward to what comes next plus getting an insight on our Enzo and Aspen. Highly recommend.

Wow. This was so good book 1 in the marked beneath the moon Trilogy. You can't help but fall in love with the main characters and the storyline and fantasy world. It makes you not even want to come up for air. #TheFlockonTour

I have to be honest: there was more to this story than I expected. The secrets that kept coming, the emotions that bubbled to the surface for several of the characters, and the world building all combined to hook my attention and make me not want to hit pause. Enzo and Aspen want to be enemies-well at least Aspen wants to remain that way, but pesky feelings and the fact that Enzo has a heart underneath all that stone exterior won't let that remain the status quo. Love grows, silly moments make a reader smile as they journey through obstacles to a true relationship. And I am so there for Hunter, Clay, and Fletcher's stories because my imagination has already run wild with some of those aspects. Narration brought the characters to life.

Only my second-ever read by this author and it really gripped me—I couldn’t put it down, it was just fun!

Werewolves / shifters.
Feral-style heats.
Forced mating.
Bit of light captivity.
New friendships.
Found family.
Danger, territory battles.
Pack dynamics, politics.
Possessive alpha - literally.
Females dramatically outnumbered.

4 stars.


Overall:
Will absolutely be reading on more in this series / world, what a treat this was. I loved the SciFi twist and how wolves are sort-of ‘made’ in this world, it’s different. It manages to blend PNR, Fantasy, SciFi, urban fantasy and more together, and I couldn’t help but appreciate how smoothly this was done.

The Wolf King's Mate is the first book in the Marked Beneath the Moon series. This book is about Enzo and Aspen and is told from both of their points of view.

Aspen is a rare female wolf and has lived with her brothers pack, but has been hidden so no one knows she's a wolf. When out on a walk the alpha king's brother sniffs her out and captures her. Taking her to his home, the alpha kind Enzo has now claimed Aspen.

Aspen won't take this claiming easy, and does what she wants, but also wants to keep her brother and friends safe. I loved the banter between these two characters, and seeing how their relationship grew.

I'm excited to continue on in this series.

This is a fascinating start to an amazing new paranormal romance series featuring werewolf shifters. The story grabs your attention right from the start and holds it captive the entire time. Aspen, a rare female wolf, lives with her brother, a pack leader, who helps keep her hidden. She wears perfume to hide her scent, but that did not help when the alpha king’s brother caught her scent and took her against her will back to his brother. Enzo, the Alpha King, wants Aspen, or rather, his wolf does, and Aspen’s wolf is in agreement, but Enzo is lacking in being romantic. Aspen is no pushover, and Enzo has met his match in her, and it was great watching them get to know each other, navigate their relationship and see it morph into something more, something real. This fantastic enemies-to-lovers romance has the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. As the first book in the series, is lays down the foundation for the rest of the series. The world building, plot and writing are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Lola Glass, thanks for this fabulously entertaining story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧📚🎧 Cassandra King and Lucas Dixon did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life, giving each a voice that was fitting for a perfect portrayal of each. Both embodied their characters’ personalities completely and were convincing in every role, nailing it as the two leads, Aspen and Enzo. Their tone and pacing were ideal for the story, and they conveyed all the characters’ emotions in their performance, making you feel each one. These two make a great narration team, with voices and talent that compliments each other and a captivating performance that keeps you glued to the story.

The Wolf King's Mate by Lola Glass is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Cassandra King and Lucas Dixon. This is the first book in the Marked Beneath the Moon series.

This is the first book of Lola's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Aspen and Enzo. I loved getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series The Wolf Prince's Mate to be released on audio so I can get Clay and Nova's story.

Lucas and Cassandra did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a paranormal romance, enemies to lover's romance, or forced proximity romance.

I absolutely loved this story! I was completely sucked in from the very beginning until the end. It is fast paced, nicely developed and well narrated. The story is about Aspen and Enzo, the Alpha King and his Princess. She even gets her crown. She hidden for years but is finally detected by the alphas brother. He immediately takes her back to meet his brothers. Enzo's wolf immediately lays claim to her. MINE!! Enzo, is all alpha, but has a big mushy heart for Aspen. I love how feisty and fierce Aspen is too. She stands up to Enzo and even pushes his buttons. This is such a good story with some witty banter and entertaining bits. There is also fear, angst, action, danger, passion, threats, pack, family, gift baskets and much more.
