I love thie whole series, it's one of the best series of books I have ever read, and I'm sure there's one more, but I have a feeling it's going to be about a different couple

the love this man has for her is so incredible, it's the best way to read a romance when the guy falls 1st and falls hard, and he isn't mushy but strong and demanding in the best, hottest way possible

MMC has a rule no one threatens a women and when they do they die by his hand
obsessed MMCs over his women
they are obsessed with each other
lots of spicy sex scenes

FMC is Fleur, a French women coming out of a bad relationship, her ex husband cheated on her a lot, so they divorce, she finds Bastian soon after, her 1st relationship since they broke up, they fall and fall fast
MMC is Bastian, a French man, ruler of the underworld gangster, the 5th Republic of Paris is a group he started where they do a lot of bad but save women and children, he tries to make Paris better and he does, the moment he met Fleur at a bar she worked at he new she was the one he was going to marry, even if it took awhile for her to get there
just months after her divorce she moved in with him but not before she gets kidnapped by a guy named Oscar, a Aristocrats who thought Fleur was still with her ex husban Adrien, but realizing she moved on and was now Bastian's women so he kidnapped her to bury her alive, he gets to her but after digging her up she was dead so he gives her CPR and now she is alive, that was book 2
book 3 starts out with her living with him, they are really affected by what happened to her it takes time for both of them to heal, he thought she wud have left him but she doesn't and it shocks him because his life is dangerous and now he sees it and now he knows she will be in danger too but she won't leave him, they are in love after all but it does take time for them to be intimate with each other again, after realizing she is not leaving him then he snaps out of his depression and they fuck and make love all the time
it really destroyed him when she was dead and he brought her back to life but it was hard to get over, his world, his reason to live was dead it was the hardest thing for him to move past but he does because she needs him as much as he needs her
a Russian guy named Ivar tries to turn his men against him because he wants to rule France so he kidnappes his girl to get him to give him his part of Paris, the illegal stuff, then Godric, Bastian's brother save Fleur and they go after Ivar together
Godric and Bastian have a rough relationship but they make amends and become brothers again
then Bas and Fleur get married
he gives up the 5th Republic and gives it to his best friend Luca because Fleur wants a family and he can't give her kids if he is constantly in danger
epilogue, 15 years later he has a son and daughter with fleur

I love this book so much

Everything written by Penelope Sky sucks you right in- especially with the exceptional narration of Michael Ferraiuolo and Ramona Masters. This series is well written, engaging and full of heart. Smart and well-paced, you’ll love this series too.

It is an amazing end to the trilogy.
Thia story really conveyed what loyalty and true forgiveness looks like despite if one feels they deserve it. Love can conquer all.

Throughout this story was wondering when we were gonna get to the juicy parts and boy did this story make up for it. Fleur finally came into her own. Got what she wanted from her ex husband…freedom. Bastian was hot and cold often but I think he needed to be. He was always so perfect throughout the story I wanted to see some other sides of him. Poor fleur was pulled into the drama that she didn’t even sign up for. Way to go bastian for fighting for his woman and burning the city to the ground-figuratively ofcourse 😉. I’m glad that Bastians bestie(as fleur called him) opened his eye to what Fleur had given up for Bastian and how he needed to give some too. I think without that conversation the book would have taken a different turn. This story ended this portion of the series well
