Wow, that was a close call. I love listening to this book. Maddox and Cora are amazing. He appealed to her on a level that no one has and he took her under his wing as a protector, adviser and instructor. Most of all he gained his trust easily and provided her with her lessons with ease. As for Cora Maddox was her protector, lover and teacher. Most of all her brought out her little side with grace and the minx in her just as much. But I must say I was curious to know who Maddox employer was and was elated if his untimely passing. Most of all I love this mystery of this taboo love story. Above all the narrators did an excellent job in telling this story.

I'll tell you what the performance of Mrs. Samantha Summers, & Mr. Alexander Cendese made this worth listening to!
Like I said I didn't find the overall story to be particularly strong but the combination of exquisitely written sex/smut scenes, & phenomenal narrators made this book a must-listen.
That is if you don't mind getting yourself hot, & bothered every time you run errands in your car.
Which is exactly what I did!

I absolutely loved this story ! The chemistry between the characters was so hot and intense... the narrators are perfect too .. if your looking for a good story with raw scenes look no further :) I gave the overall a 4/5 because there’s one thing that bothers me in books this “type” and it seems like they all end up with this .. and I can’t stand it .., I won’t say so I don’t spoil it but really that’s the only thing .

the book was ok. kinda hit in some parts. but if it wasn't for Alexander I probably would of never finished it. wow, that man has a sexy voice!

I liked that Maddix became the good guy and the real hero of the story, while the villain got what he deserved. Backstabbing and double crosses from loved ones. A good erotic story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

I read this story when it was first released and liked it. Recently, I was given the opportunity to listen to the audiobook. What follows is my original review of the story with a new addition for my review of the narration.

As a high school teacher the thought of lusting after and having sex with a student is disgusting. Therefore, reading about teacher/student relationships feels creepy and is not something I typically go for. I have read a few books by Isabella Starling and liked them all. Because of this, honestly, when this came out I chose to read it without reading the blurb about it. I didn't know it was about a teacher/student relationship. Once I figured it out I decided to go ahead and keep reading just to see how it turned out. So, with all that being said, I did think it was a good book. There were two big twists in the story of Cora and Maddox. While I did figure out the first one fairly early on the second one was a complete surprise.

I really liked both narrators. The female had an innocence to her voice which I felt went along well with the character of Cora. I thought the male narrator did a great job with Maddox, but also when he was speaking as Cora. I would definitely listen to both these narrators again.

I really enjoyed this book overall. The story won’t be for everyone I will say that. The authors did an amazing job making you cringe and hate the villains to the point I actually wanted to kill the stepfather and his cronies. Daddy was great I liked him a lot and the narrators sexy ass voice made him all the better , I liked Cora alright, except the narrator sounded like she was 12 years old which suited the character well because for a grown woman who was already 18 I found Cora extremely naive and annoying in the sense she had no damn back bone and put up with her step fathers bullshit I just don’t see how someone who was supposed to be so academically smart not have the proper knowledge to seek help from a school counselor or social services especially now that she was of age she could have gotten the hell out of there she didn’t have to stick around and let “DADDY” save her...so that really annoyed me but otherwise I found it all around a good listen and loved the HEA.

If you are okay with an 18 year old naive virgin girl doing advanced sexual favors for a teacher while calling him 'Daddy', then this book is for you. This made me cringe every time and made my skin crawl.

The female voice is projected to be even younger than an 18 year old... which made me cringe even more.

The story has many moments that made me feel like the line was being crossed for forceful sexual acts.

The story line is weak because it's based on him being paid to take her virginity. Well, this is the first! Usually, people pay for virgins.

Overall, this book is definitely not for me.

The F*ck did I just listen to?!? This book is just awful and NO I'm not referring to the D/d kink. I'm referring to the lack of story , plot, any type of relationship development between H/h. They meet for the 1st time and meets a strong word here, more like she lets him into the house and then hands him the beer her "step dad" ordered her to and then next thing you know he's up in her room having sexy times. AGAIN ITS NOT the insta-sexy times that is the problem here (they've been the only good scenes so far and they haven't even had sex yet) its that the relationship being portrayed in that scene was something you see after 2 people have been dating for a bit. It's like instead of just making it what it was, the author wrote it as if they'd known eachother for weeks with sexual tension building up like crazy and then BOOM... only that wasn't the case.

Look, if you're looking for amazing kink, check out Jade West. She can execute any kink or taboo topic in the most brilliant way you've ever experienced. She's fu**ing phenomenonal!

This shit was garbage AND the heroine was so weak, pathetic, and soooooo unrealistically naive it was just comical.

Performance was stellar. Love this narrator.
