This has got to be, hands down...my favorite read of the year! I already loved the ebook version but Michael Ferraiuolo brought these characters to life in a whole new way and it was just a beautiful thing. This one will be a book I will continue to listen to throughout the years. Lynn Van Dorn is a fantastic author and this is one of her best works.

I LOVED this. This is probably my favorite audiobook of the year. Michael Ferraiuolo is brilliant as two, young, posh princes. Yuri and Angelo are such unique characters with lots of angst and history between them and sometimes they get really 'cut-glass' when they're using their royal training to one up each other. The way the narrator seamlessly brings them to life is amazing.
This book is so good and the narration is brilliant.

This audio is amazing, from the incredibly expressive narrator to the captivating and intoxicating romance between Angelo and Yuri. If you're a fan of spanking, dirty talk, and possessiveness, I think you'll love seeing how Angelo and Yuri turned their boyhood animosity into something much deeper and all-consuming. Yuri was the perfect mix of pouty, bratty, and needy, and seeing the way he broke down under Angelo's firm hand had me shivering from the intensity. The way Yuri desperately needed Angelo, his discipline and attention and love, was heady, even without bringing anything more physical into it. Equally enthralling was the way Angelo slowly, almost unknowingly came to crave providing that discipline and being exactly what Yuri needed. When Angelo finally turned his protective possessiveness over Yuri to the bedroom, their explosive chemistry was immediately apparent. Yuri's desperation, hopefulness, and sheer pleasure at finally getting what he'd always longed for from Angelo was overwhelming in the best way.

Though I wanted to get sucked into the romance entirely and block out everything else going on, the background hostility with Francis and kingdom politics were intriguing and unexpected. This romance took me on some serious twists and turns, some full of danger and others that pulled back the curtain on Yuri and Angelo's betrothal. I love how clever Yuri and Angelo ended up being on their "prince rescue mission"--I couldn't have predicted any of that happening and I love how surprised I was. At the end of the day, what Angelo and Yuri share is untouchable, not by jealous ex's or politics or any family members who aren't on board. As Angelo says to Yuri, "I want whatever life gives me you.... The only thing I see is you."

This was a great story with a well-developed story line. It starts with two kingdoms with children born close together that end up betrothed but of course the children have different idea as they grow up. The story includes childhood, puberty, and adulthood in such a way that I felt we got a great view of both men.

I will definitely listen to this book again. Michael is such a wonderful narrator and I love everything of his I’ve listened to.
