Real Dirty

I have everything a guy could want - a new single burning up the charts, more money than a man could spend, and a woman I’m planning to marry.

Until she doesn’t show up for my proposal.

The life I thought was so perfect, isn’t.

The guy who thought he had everything, doesn’t.

I’ve got my heart on lockdown, but life sends me straight into the path of a mouthy bartender who puts me in my place.

Now the only place I want to put her is under me.

I thought I was done with love, but maybe I’m just getting started.

Real Sexy

In Nashville, stars are a dime a dozen.

I swore I’d never get caught up with one, but Boone Thrasher made a liar out of me.

I said I’d never put my heart on the line, but he didn’t ask before he stole it.

Now we’re facing my worst fears, and we’ll see if this country boy is tough enough to see it through.

Girls like me don’t get happily ever afters...but maybe he’ll prove that wrong too.

This story continues in the world of The Dirty Billionaire trilogy with a focus on Nashville. Take one country super star, add a beautiful bartender, and set it in Nashville's music scene. Now add a murder mystery. I really liked this duet, especially because Riley grew into a strong, independent woman after years of being bogged down by her mother's death and her father's cruelty.

I have loved all the Meghan March books/series but this one is by far my favorite. The story line and the narrators are awesome.

I will be reading this again!!

I purchased this Duet thinking it was a brand new release from one of my favorite authors.. but slowly the plot started to come back to me - because way back in 2017 I’d purchased both books.. duh!!.. nevertheless I eagerly continued to listen. And I can happily say that the 5 star review I’d originally posted in Real Sexy still applies today.

Worth a credit? Yes.. but also no.. I’ll be asking for my credit back purely because of my cock-up and not because it wasn’t a great rockstar romance.. and (IMO) you shouldn’t use one for this the complete Duet because both books are now available in the Audible Escape Package which makes them pretty much free.

SO GOOD.. however

As I would have stated before in another review, Ms. March can do no wrong and when you add the voice take us of Mr. York and Ms. Arndt - you have a match made in heaven. I will read anything from this author and listen to anything from these actors.

Another Hit

I liked this duet a lot! I liked that Ripley wasn’t a rich princess- that gets old - and has some curves and insecurities in spite of being obviously gorgeous. I loved how well she fit with Boone and his family. Boone was awesome and hot. I am torn on Ripley’s transformation because she seems like she has certain rules and a very reasonable dislike of being in the press etc... and yet she quickly jumps at becoming the next big star. Yes her Dad held her back, but I think I needed a HINT of her inner dreams earlier in the book, then her ultimate decision would have made a bit more sense.
I also liked that Ripley’s mom’s murder was resolved but kinda same thing, it came out of almost nowhere. It felt like ticking off requirements: (1) resolve h/H issues (2) give Ripley a bigger dream than bar tending (3) sudden dream comes true (4) solve murder. It just wasn’t well flushed out and I expected a duet to be more fleshed out honestly (since clearly there should have been timesheet word count space to do so).
But I did love the characters and it made me want to read Holly’s story so in that sense, well done!!! And the narrators were awesome, Elena Wolfe sounds sooooooo familiar 🤔 😉
Oh! And the hot scenes were EXTRA spicy!

Phhhhewwwww HOT HOT HOT!
