This was very new to me, apocalyptic romance. The narrators performance was extraordinary!! There was some angst but, good story. The sexy scenes were hot!! Definitely recommend this book.

That's all you really need to know for certain from the summary. I hate to say it, but the story is 🤷‍♀️ because it's all about the sweet, sweet, literary porn LOL! 🤣 I'm actually kinda bummed because Meghan writes great stories, not saying this wasn't enjoyable 😏, but the setting is moot imo. Rowan pisses me off for being so dense 😑 when you constantly behave a certain way, why would you expect people to react differently?

The narration is great with 2 pros giving stellar performances.
I consider the book to be a mixed bag though that does not live up to what looked like an interesting tale. This is an early book of Megan March’s and was written as the 1st of a series. The subsequent stories have yet to be published in the last 9 years, aside from a short follow up novella, which I am unlikely to purchase due to the disappointment in the abrupt ending of this book.

Worst of all there is a very annoying cliff hanger with no apparent end in sight after 9 years, so you are paying for an incomplete book. As for the story, if you like ménage tropes this one is fairly typical with 2 men and 1 women and some dirty sex. There is a some graphic violence, not as much character development of secondary characters as you might expect, and very predictable drama between the 2 guys.

After an ElectroMagnetic Pulse event puts the general population into choas, a female lawyer leaves Chicago to meet up with her survivalist dad and sister, She runs into some trouble along the way. The survivalist shelter she ends up in is a bit too perfect, and the woman gets over her reservations on taking on 2 relatively unknown guys for a threesome rather quickly given her other priorities. While she has been trained by her dad to be prepared for many things, she is strangely lacking in some basics. While her backpack go bag is full of some camping/hiking necessities she is missing A gun, condoms, favorite energy bars, back up antibiotics or at the least Advil, a walking stick. These days I’d add a couple N95 masks as well for the walk/run out of the city. The story is best when fast paced, but drags towards the end.

And then there is the cliffy, which is fine for suspense at the end of a chapter, but highly inappropriate and greedy at the end of a book. It forces the reader to pay for another book to get a conclusion or in a series, a resolution to a scenario. If the author doesn’t write or publish the next book there is no ending to the story, and while I can come up with several scenarios, it then becomes my conclusion- not the author’s. She has just left the story abandoned and incomplete. Bad form in my mind, so reader beware! Not worth a credit but IF March ever writes the sequel, I would reconsider this as an ok sale book.

Ménage Romance of Survivors of an EMP event

This book wasn't really my cup of tea. I love apocalyptic romance but this didn't have much action and survival. This book was more of a romance and the rest was an after thought. I can see how some people would like this but if you have read other end of the world romance books this might not be for you. I also was really into the M/F/M relationship and how quickly it progressed. Overall it wasn't the worst book but its definitely not for everyone.

I had read this book several years ago and was so excited when the Audio was to be released! Connor and Elena did a magnificent job with this! And it's really another of my favorites from Meghan March! For ones fearing the "post apocalyptic" setting. Don't! It's a setting, but not a dark depressing state, it's not the focus! enjoy!!!

Great Read! I'm a Meghan March fan and post apocalyptic fan, this is the first one I have listened too that combines my two favorite genres. I'm hooked; more please!

Survival and Romance!

I loved how the narrators brought these characters to life! Rowan's father has prepared her for an EMP taking out grids and rendering things useless. Her go-bag is ready and she's bound and determined to find her way home. She's strong and has the skills to back her. She's focused on getting to her family. But things happen along the way that she didn't see coming. One event leads to another and I was here for it! If M/F/M isn't your thing, then I suggest skipping this one. But if you're looking for an action-packed, sexy read then what are you waiting for?!

Holy wow. I will never get over how this was Meghan’s first novel and now that I’ve heard it in audio I’m even more in love with these characters. Flash Bang is a roller coaster of adrenaline that starts from the first page and rolls all the way to the last page. My heart raced, jumped into my throat and then swooned so hard while listening!

I need Graham and Zach to come rescue me! PLEASE! These two ex marines with capture your heart so quick! Where Graham is rough, Zach is sweet but don’t let that fool you, these two are equally dominant and pure sex. And when they are in protection mode? Oh man, watch out. Your ovaries are about to explode! I must say, in my opinion, this is the best narration I’ve heard thus far from Connor Crais. Voicing not only Graham and Zach, but the multitude of male side characters to utter perfection. Every single one not only sounding completely different but he gave them personality! I was legitimately blown away.

Rowan is one BAD heroine. If I could choose a woman by my side at the end of the world it’d be her, no doubt. She tenacious and caring which makes her instantly relatable. Her choices are calculated and Ro is just generally a lioness of a character. Elena Wolfe has always been a favorite of mine, her narration is never anything short of superb, but this role was made for her. She gives it just the right amount of don’t eff with me unless I want you to vibes. Which is just so Rowan.

As a whole this is some spectacular narration paired with a killer story line. Elena and Connor flow together extremely well. Bringing Rowan, Zach and Graham’s story to a soaring new height. Well done by all, well done.
