So I knew that Rodney Falcon narrated but I had no idea that he wrote as well! Popstar is written and narrated by Rodney Falcon and it is a steamy rock star romance about Calvin Glass, who is a famous rock star on the cusp of living the lifestyle we only read about in the media. Rich, Famous, Sexy, he’s everything he’s ever wanted to be but he still feels like there’s a void in him and he’s not fully happy, so he decides that he wants his life to mean more than what it is now. Enter Jess, a struggling actress trying to make it in L.A., and when Calvin and Jess’ paths cross, sparks fly.
Popstar has everything you would want in a rock star romance: little bit of twists, a dash of suspense, funny, charming and sexy! Since the author narrates it, Rodney did not slack on his narrating performance. He gave a great performance, embodying Calvin and Jess, animated and distinct, easily depicting the drama, worry and lust. You can’t go wrong with Rodney Falcon, he gave an enjoyable listen with Popstar. Happy listening all!

Really enjoyed Popstar, Calvin popstar and Jess actress. OMG there chemistry was off the hook. Theres a few twists along the way for them. Rodney this was excellent story and narrator was on point.

Good storyline but for me, I think I expected something different. I believe the title “Popstar” gave me ideas of how the story would go and when it didn’t, it surprised me in a good way.
Narration was really good. I’m new to this author/narrator and I’m excited to read/listen to him again.
I would recommend this book.

This is a fun, and steamy rockstar romance. Calvin is living the life of the rich and famous. He has women falling at his feet, but it has become unfulfilling for him. He starts looking for more meaning in his life. Jess is a struggling actress trying to make it in LA. Their paths cross in a coffee shop and their attraction is instant. Their journey isn't easy, and there are those who want to keep them apart. I really liked Jess, but I had a hard time connecting with Calvin. I think if he didn't toot his own horn so much, it would have been easier to like him. I did like the twists this story takes, making it suspenseful at times, but mostly it is a sweet, funny and very steamy romance. The author, Rodney Falcon, is also the narrator. His performance was lively, and his voices distinct. He easily portrays all the drama, angst, and passion.

Wow! This one really had my emotions bouncing around. One min I can’t stand Cal and his actions then I completely think he’s a nice guy but then he goes back to being a jerk. I don’t know WHAT he is thinking while in New York. Watch out Cal....Karma will be coming your way. He is a pop star and I can’t possibly imagine what he goes through along the “being famous” line. Paparazzi, stalkers and over zealous fans are just to name a few. I will say he seemed very gentlemanly toward Jess.

I had no real feelings for Jess either way. There wasn’t anything to really impress me about her. She didn’t arrive on the scene until a ways Into the story. In fact I had to look and make sure Tonya wasn’t the female lead with as much as Cal enjoyed and remembered her.

While i realize this is written by a male i was curious if there would have been emotions brought forth in the characters. The characters mention how they feel but to me all i heard was the words. I wasn’t able to connect with the characters so i couldn’t *feel* what they were saying. This story is good and easy to follow along with and the characters are likable. Yes it is full of steamy scenes and I epwas happy once the story started moving forward filled with

I listened to this on audio and felt the author did a pretty good job. On the female and males voices he did a good job. I was easily able to tell who was who mostly.

I really, really, really tried hard to like Popstar. I love all books/audiobooks that have anything to do with musicians. I was able to connect with Calvin, but I think that Jess’s character needed more...more emotion is what comes to mind while I’m writing this. Also, there were some things that happen that we only get as after thoughts. The story line is good, manwhore pop star wants to change his ways and wants more out of life.

Rodney Falcon did a great job narrating, his voice was perfect for Cal, however Jess’s POV needed a female narrator. I couldn’t distinguish between the two very well.
