Exiled by his Pride for "unacceptable" desires, Ritnar lives alone. Until one day, he finds a strange and fascinating, furless creature washed up on the shore. He nurses him to health and determines to gain his trust and, perhaps, his heart.
But a terrible misunderstanding drives the human, Tristan, away and right into the dangerous, lustful claws of Ritnar’s former Pride leader.

Fun & Sensous

BUT I think this could've been a full novel, if we'd been allowed to see more of the two characters being able to communicate better & spend more time before falling so in love - it really was more lust than love, though there was some caring & tenderness. They didn't really KNOW each other. There are some loose ends in a subplot & although there are 2 more shorts in the series, they're not going to focus on the same two characters.
One other minor complaint is that their internal monologues included slang & turns of phrase that just didn't fit their world or life experience, especially the Tigeran, Ritnar, who had had no contact with humans prior to Tristan. I'm not positive of what time period this is supposed to be taking place, but I also thought that it was likely Tristan's speech was too modern as well. However, this aside, I did enjoy how their personalities & perspectives came through, even if the exact words might not have been realistic.
The narration for the audio was pretty good - because most of the book only has interaction between 2 characters, it was easy to tell who was speaking/narrating, with the two very different accents the narrator chose. (Though I'm not entirely sure why a Russian type accent was chosen for Ritnar. I might've missed/forgotten something along the way though).
All in all, I did like it & I will probably read the next 2 books - I just wish this one were longer.
Entertaining, but would've liked more

It’s a story about Tristan (human) and Ritnar (Tigeran). These two are perfect and their story just made me happy.
For a very short story of a little over 2 hours, the story did not seem short. Don’t get me wrong, I wished it was way longer because I wanted more of Ritnar’s and Tristan’s story. I didn’t want it to end.
Joshua Needham, the narrator, did an awesome job to bring this book to life. He’s added to my favorite narrators of all time! I just love his voice and how he made this story so great to listen to.
I definitely recommend this book. I can’t wait for more of this author and narrator!❤️❤️❤️
