The book is food but it just seems like they dont take the danger seriously enough. If you know that people are chasing your Queen why do you only have 1 person watching her? Why does she not pay real attention to her surroundings? Or why does she not carry weapons if she is trained?

I would like the book better is she had more than just a smart mouth.

Imani is learning to navigate between her MC life and work. Oh the connection between Imani and her man is hot and steamy.
I enjoy her sass and independent attitude.
Things are heating up between the Dreads and the Creeps. Action packed with twists snd turnss.
This ends on a cliffy . I cant wait to for what happens next.

Lacy Laurel and Antionio Turner narration is very good.

Xavier Neal is a newer author for me. This series consists of three shorter listens, this being the second. I've enjoyed the storyline and characters. It's been easy for me to get invested in them. The cliffhanger was brutal and I'm glad I was able to jump straight into the final book!

Antonio Turner and Lacy Laurel brought this book to life. They are excellent narrators. Love their voices.

The King is back, he's found his Queen and now it's time to fight for Camelot. The men of the MC are not "good guys" but they are heroes. They keep the town safe. But now one of their own can't be trusted. They need to uncover their mole and destroy the danger to Camelot. Even if it means wiping out another MC and controlling their turf. Hopefully, the casualties won't be too high.

Before I can get to the story, I have to ask, am I the only reader who would prefer these two to use King and Queen less often? It comes across as cheesy bordering on ridiculous. I suppose it fits the melodramatic nature of the story but it distracts me. Now, this next part will sound strange since I like Adonis and Imani but I prefer when they interact with the club members or Imani's family more than when they are one on one. Their outside interactions are natural and aren't over-the-top like their personal exchanges are. I also liked the action in this book. Each showed their strengths. They are both intelligent and strong individually. Together, they are an unbeatable team.

The narration was again performed by Lacy Laurel and Antonio Turner. Lacy was solid as Imani and the other females. Antonio Turner is making Adonis his own. His growl is perfection and his rasp is sexy. His delivery is still uneven but much improved.

This is the second in a trilogy. It brings me closer to the characters as Imani is still trying to find her place in with the club. I do enjoy all her getting over on the club members. It adds a bit of humor to the story. This one really moves the story along and we get to watch King and his Queen become closer. I love his growly personality in regards to her. Then she isnt afraid to fill her role a Queen of the club.

I did listen to this on audio. The narration is well done.


Makes me love Imani and King all the more

This is book 2 in Neal's Camelot Misfits MC series and the story with Adonis (King) and Imani (Queen) continues. I have to admit that while I think this book was good it didn't capture or thrill me like book 1 did - however this ending has me hanging off another cliff and looking forward to how their stories will continue. I like how this book gives us a more in depth feel into these main characters and their relationship dynamic - how they learn and grow together as a couple as well as individually - what burdens them and helps. Narration is wonderfully done...love a dual narration although Lacy's voice is much more distinguished. I've heard her in other audios and sometimes I blend characters because I identify that character with the voice - so for me, the characters need to have a strong personality which Imani seems to have and I appreciate. Well written and full of steamy chemistry. Def looking forward to book 3 - King's Legacy.

This is the second book in the Camelot Misfits MC series. Imani is learning to understand more of the MC culture thanks to King being patient with her. The Misfits are heading into a an all out war. I am loving this series so far. This book does end on one heck of a cliffhanger. Lacy Laurel and Antonio Turner both did an absolutely fantastic job narrating.

Picks up right where book 1 ended. The story is intense; filled with drama, action, emotions and steam!

Read/listen to Book 1, Kings Return and slide into more action, steam and engaging and interesting storylines. Learning more about King and Imani, the characters surrounding them..we learn of family secrets, the dangers surrounding oinking those involved in the Misfits and their loved ones and the continuing war between MCs. There is more to learn and I’m excited to move to book 3 and listen to the lively dialogue that goes on in Imani’s mind and her fascination with history and anthropology.
Narration well done keeping me interested, engaged and emotionally connected to the characters.

This story is so intense. It is filled with drama, action, powerful emotions and steam. As King and Imani's story continues to unfold the stakes rise as the threats get deadlier, secrets are revealed and the twists make your jaw hit the floor. I love King and Imani so very much. They are an amazingly strong couple ❤️


Loving Book 2 just as much or more than book 1 ❤
