So sweet

This is such a sweet read. The two compliments each other well. Lacy and Alan did an awesome job at narrating

Interesting

This was the first book I've read/listened to by Xavier Neal. It wasn't what I was expecting. There was a mission impossible/super hero type feel. As it rolled in my head, I saw it as a cartoon. I loved Brandon and Blake. Bronx was so understanding, persuasive, loyal, but all male. Blake was quirky in her brilliance, willing to listen, and had her moments of insecurities. I loved the romance part of the storyline, the rest was meh.

Alan Carlson and Lacy Laurel are excellent narrators. I've heard them many times before. They have such smooth voices. Their performances were perfection.

Romantic suspense with strong characters

I love a good romantic suspense, so when I was offered an audiobook of Bulletproof, I had to take it. Especially since I absolutely love Lacy Laurel. Her voice is perfection!

Bronx is a bodyguard and he is assigned to protect Blake, a beyond intelligent and successful woman. She is also the sister of Bronx's boss. But Bronx knows his job and does it well. He doesn't get involved with his clients and he protects them at all costs. He will die before his clients. That's just the man he is. That is why he is assigned to this top level client.
When Bronx sees photos of Blake to know who he is protecting, he can't help but be attracted to her. That is a no-no in his field, as he needs to be focused. What is it about Blake that has him changing his tune?

As soon as these two meet, you can feel the tension and chemistry between them. They have a good push and pull and they balance each other well. Blake lives in a very small box and doesn't veer from that. Bronx pushes her boundaries and has her changing her course just a bit. It's something she not only needs in her life, but also to survive.

Bulletproof was all about the forced proximity, bodyguard, romantic suspense and I enjoyed it. I liked that they had to be forced into a small town to focus on who was after Blake. What I enjoyed most was the way Bronx pushed Blake out of her comfort zone in many ways such as with food (I'm a foodie, so that always appeals to me). And the Spanish that was added in throughout really added fire to their flame. Their spicy scenes were on par for who these characters were. I did think with Blake being as smart as she was that she did make some questionable decisions, but it wasn't often. And Bronx was totally out of character falling for a client, so what made Blake different?

Overall, this was a good romantic suspense and I liked the chemistry between the two characters. They balanced each other well. As an audiobook listener, I really enjoyed the female narration, but the male narrator didn't have the best female voice. It kind of annoyed me, but when he was portraying any male character, he was great. I think I would prefer to read this one over the audio, but Lacy did fantastic.

okay i reallyenjoyedthisbook, and glad they fell in love. the ending was my favorite. him talking about there legó wedding and there kids. the narrator's did an amazing job too.

LOVED every second!

Great performance of a steamy action packed adventure. My only complaint is I wish it were longer!

Interesting concept for a story

I received this audiobook free for an honest review as a member of the Pink Flamingo Productions review team. The concept of this book was not one I have listened to in quite a while. Dr. Blake Rothwell, while extremely intelligent, is a little bit backward when it comes to relationships and real life. Bronx Bradford, as her bodyguard, works hard to keep her safe and not fall in love with her. The story is fast moving and a bit funny in parts. The male narrator was excellent. His sexy voice was great to listen to. The female narrator did a good job with the characters. The overall story was enjoyable.

Okay first time listener to Xavier Neal and well have to admit that I really enjoyed this book. Like can I get my own bodyguard? Alan and Lacy did a really great job narrating this book!

Suspense romance

I really enjoyed this romance listen. Well written and narrated (love the dual narration). I think my favorite thing about this read was the main characters - Bronx and Blake (so I wasn't thrilled with the B names but didn't take away from the read itself). Both are amazing in their fields - Bronx is a security professional that can improvise in a flash while not book smart, this guy has it in spades when it comes to looks and ability. Blake on the other hand is super book smart and also inventive - a literal genius. While both of these main characters are superb they both have self doubts in areas other than their professions and I love how vulnerable their characters are in this book. I adore how fierce Bronx is when it comes to claiming Blake as his own and provides a beautiful blend of sweet and heat. At times thrilling but overall heartwarming in the end. Well done!

The Narrated did such a amazing job telling this story, i could not stop listening to it and felt like i was apart of the story,they did such a well job bringing the characters togther making you feel like you where right there with them and i highly suggest you check out this audiobook.

This book is about Blake who is extremely smart and strong on her own. She works as the head of technology for a well known company developing products. She is feisty and outspoken and the best in her field which brings us to her needing protection. With a threat to her she must be protected at all costs. Bronx is known for his get it done no matter what work ethic and for never crossing the line between clients and him. He is brought on to protect Blake at all costs. Yet as soon as he sets eyes on Blake he knows he is in trouble. I really enjoyed this book it had a bit of suspense, action, lots of twists and turns to keep you interested and let’s not forget very steamy scenes. This is a guaranteed must read and I’m so excited to read more from this author.

Love this book .

I love the banter between the characters and how quirky her characters usually are. The storyline itself is pretty much exactly what you think it is, but it’s the writing in the interaction between the characters that makes the story special.
